Orders from Egypt: Grow economy, expand.

The people seemed sated with their new temples. Already a few had been smitten by assorted gods for complaining that there were too many. However, even after one of the Hierocracy members was visited by plague, boils, several charities and distant relations, he was the only one to suggest building any more temples. And so the people of Egypt were told to do other things than build more temples and invent more gods.
Some went off in all directions. They expanded into the desert, where they met nomads, and began trading with them. Trading between Egypt and the desert people had long been established, but now the trade grew far greater, drawing Egyptians to settle the desert.

(OOC: Thanks for this fast update! But you made a small mistake in the update. I´m in a Hierarchy in the stats, but in the update
I´m a despot!! Please let me stay in a Hierarchy because thats what i actualy wanted. I made a mistake with monarchy.
1.And I have a question about the Megalith: If i had a medium culure before i would built the Megalith, would I get a large culture because of the Megalith?
2.And if i trade a technology will i get the bonuses because i got it 2nd etc?

Under Mursilis the first the Hittites went through a time of education. Education was the most important thing. The richer families in Hattusas paid techers for their children. And even the normal worker tryed to sent their children atleast one day in the month to a techer. The people were very happy with Mursilis and when the King decided to built the Megalith, he created many jobs. The Hittites came from everywhere, because they knew that there were enough jobs in Hattusas for everybody.

Meanwhile the army was not able to connect the Hittite Empire with the Mediterran sea. Another attempt was started and because of the culture many tribes joined the Hittites.
In the North 50 soldiers used the warrafts to drive along the coast of the black sea. The King somehow knew that the end of the world was further away.

Scandinavia was in dissaray! They needed to choose a government! There elders held a large meeting and chose to be hierarchal. They would now be ruled by lorders who were ruled by more powerful lords, up to the king. This would be most efficient in defending their peaceloving people.
Other happenings also were occuring now. The people had begun setting up many new farms and roads in the new areas across the river. They have also begun spreading ideas to neigboring farmers, offering them protection of the local fuedal lord in return for loyalty and a small fee of crops. But this would be cancled out by the new technology producing many more crops. They hoped to enlarge their empire this way.
Also people went to work building a series of outposts throughout the land with large wood mounds on their tops. This was to warn of a Viking attack or any suspicious movment. If any was seen by a watchman he would light his fire and his neighbors would see and light theres. This spread the message very fast. Troops would immediatly be sent to help fight.

OOC: sorry for being gone the last few days, I haven't been feeling well, oh and Monday was my birthday. Oh and I put the numbers after the last name to help me and other tell what number in the family has taken the thrown

Emperor Ivan Kalachnik II died today, while hunting wild bor. Whiteness says that something startled his horse, it reared up and he fell, hitting his head on a rock. Memorial services will be held at the Imperial Theater in the Moscow Forum. Ivan who does not have a Male Heir has requested his Daughter Vera Kalachnik III.

Ambassadors have been sent to calm the Volgan leaders, to reassure them that Russia means no to harm to her allies.

Coronation of the Empress will be held in the Imperial Palaces. A great celebration will be held. Many Russian leaders plan on coming to show their loyalty to their new Empress.

The Governor of Vandlchnick has continued his march south. Information coming for the newly conquered tribes says that there is a land to the southwest that has mountains full of metals and fields of wheat that stretch from horizon to horizon. The Empress intrigued has ordered that the armies turn their march to the southwest.

Work has started on the great Forum in Danu, the Forum includes a beautiful port upon the Volga, a large temple, a large area for merchant stalls, with a great statue in the center of it all.

Europe

Russia is full of activity. The second province continues to grow as the new empress takes the thorne. Empress Vera I begins a great construction project on the Volga. The town of Kazan becomes a large port on the Volga. It has yet to become a city, but many believe it will. If trade with the Volga Empire was established, Kazan would definantly grow into a city. Within Moscow the Russians begin working on the chariot works. This would be the largest workshop in the world and would create chariots for every militia man in the army.

Germania launches an invasion of the Danube coalition. This is in retaliation of the earlier Danube incursion. Fighting has been slow with many deaths however and many want the fighting to stop. The Danube agree to leave the Germans alone if they leave their lands.

A system of lords is set up across Scandanvia. This is to further better the production of crops. The Scandanavians also implament a new warning system in case of a viking attack. it seems there very well be one. The Vikings continue to expand south. Word is there is a famine in Vikingland and they need food. They are however to proud of a people to ask for help.

Portugal is inactive as the barbarians regroup to the south. They are angry and seeking revenge.

Greece also is inactive. King Phillipe gains large amounts of support as a tribe called Thrace joins with him. This has made Macadon more powerful then Greece. Many in Athens are very nervous and fearful.

Mid-East

A new dynasty takes power in Israel as the last king dies, with no heir he leaves the kingdom to the high priest Abraham. Abraham and his kin want to make Israel the jewal on the world's crown.

Egyptian edventurers begin to settle down in the deserts to the west. These deserts are inhospitable and the only true buildings are military emampments. The nile is the only thing that offers egypt a place to settle.

The Hittites finally reach the End of the South, the Mediterranean. The End to the South is much warmer then to the north and is a much mre fertile land. Many flock to the sea and open up port villages and towns. Huts spring up everywhere. The expadition to the north fails as 1 war raft is lost forver. The Hittites need much better experianced sailors then the fishers they now have if they wish to survive the trek. The Megalith is begun in Hattusus. It is a large stone sructure that woukld be the largest man stone structure ever.

The Persians continue to expand. No problems here, move along.

Asia

Vietnam adopts a tribal system of government(should have chosen one while u could). Meanwhile Hanoi to the north is completly destroyed, the remains of the tribe are now slaves in Saigon. Many brave Vietnamease lost their lives destroying the menace. The Cambodians prove to be better fighters then the Hanoi as they capture a couple fortified border villiges and kill the guards. The Cambodians now outnumber the Vietnam army.

Africa
A new nation arises to challenge the Morrocoan might. The coalition of Carthage is made up of dozens of tribes that do not want to be conquered by Morroco. The Numidians, who control Morroco's puppet emperor feel this as a challaenge. Morroco goes off to war. This has spared the Iberian Penninsula(ie Portugal) from a Morrocan onslaught.

Cities Turn 3/5 for everyone

Sorry but i don´t understand this. Is every nation currently building a city?

The Hittites had finaly made contact with the mediterran sea. Many villages had been founded and maybe a city would rise as a trading center of the southern Hittite Empire. But bad news from the north had reached the King. His expedition had fallen from the northern end of the world!!! Now the people feared to drive to far in the Black sea. Rumors about an mighty water snake were told at the taverns of the norhten coast.
The current period of peace had lasted for several centurys and the people loved their King. Everything was fine and the Megalith was expected to be completed very soon. But as the Hittite Empire grew the people grow tired of walking several weeks from one end to the other. An wise men had captured a wild horse and tried to sit on it. He didn´t succed, but a wave of new ideas came from Hassuan. Everybody wanted to be the first, to devolp a transport vehicle. And the King himself had set a price of several 100 sheeps for the winner.

remember 3 turns ago i said the new rule about cities. this is the third turn that the rule has been in effect, so it's 3/5 turns until everyone gets a free economic increase. it's just easier for me to remember if i put it in the update

The farmers of Scandinavia were proud. They had a bountiful harvest and new that they had enough food to keep themselves alive and help their brothers to the north. The word was that they needed food and the Scandinavians wouldn’t let the Vikings starve. Half of everyone’s harvest was organized into large piles, these were to be sent to help the Vikings.

But now they had a problem. How could they get the food North? Some scientists decided to ponder the question…and came up with nothing but strange rolling contraptions that would take a long time to make. Surprisingly the fishermen came up with a plan. They would load the crops onto the boats and take them north through the river and along the coasts. This plan would allow them to transport the goods!

The goods arrived intact and seemed to be enough for the Vikings. Also the Scandinavians who were distributing the food found it obvious that the people of Vikingland and Scandinavia were very similar. In fact most of the time they felt right at home. They started to suggest to the Vikings who were picking up the food that the two lands should unite. It would be for the betterment of both of the Peoples.

This idea would be spread rapidly from Trodenhiem to the rest of Viking land. When the Lords of Scandinavia heard this they pounced on the opportunity. They sent a letter to the ruler of Vikingland. It read:

“An idea of uniting our countries is quickly becoming very popular; it would be very profitable for both of us. We would have a huge sea force, and a huge land force with a large recruitment level. Not to mention that our bartering opportunities would grow immensely. Please consider it, of course you would stay as Lord of Vikingland and after your death your sons would become separate Lords. You would only gain from this, also our people seem to have a general fondness for each other now, we didn’t order that food distribution. But we would have helped if need be anyway.”

The workers of Scandinavia were then sent to work building a grand road system from the Southern Norwegian peninsula to the Viking land border. This would be extended into Viking land if they joined. Also the architects of Scandinavia were put to work figuring out how to build better harbors so people could more easily travel between Denmark and Scandinavia.

The Scandinavians decided that they wanted to bring more lands under their control. But they thought it would be best to remain peaceful. They did not like war. So they went to the groups south of Denmark and in Sweden. To them they said:

“Join the great empire forming in the North. We need to unit in order to protect each other. There are great threats in distant lands, and we want to be prepared to defend ourselves when the time comes. The best way to do this is to work together and not fight amongst each other. So it would be in all of our best interests that you join our growing group of lords. You will still have some sense of autonomy but we will have one supreme lord who will listen to your independent lords. This will allow us to form a great economy and prepare ourselves. We are all North men! We must stick together! I hope you consider joining us”

Europe

Russia begins domestic devlopment. Some the the first schools are created to teach the new writing to the rich young. Russia has also given money to the poor and farmers. Everyone now lives in atleast a tent. The Chariot works is also completed in Moscow. The large workshop produces hundreads of Chariots. The entire army is armed with these weapons and become the best trained army in the world.

Germany pulls out of the Danube as the leaders remain inactive. Many feel that a Danube attack is iminant.

Scandanavia tries to help the proud Viking people, but are rejected upon arrival in Trodheim. "We do not need your help". The Scandanavians and Vikings both progress into Sweden. The famine in Vikingland meanwhile ends. The Scanadanvian wisemen develop crude wheeledvehicles. They can carry supplies around but are made for war. (no training bonus)

Portugal is once again on the decline. The leaders seem to spend more time counting gold then helping the country. The barbarians are once again on Portugal's border.

King Phillipe II amasses a large army on Greece's border. The leaders of Greece seem to cower in their bedchambers. Many fear a Macadonian invasion. The Macedonians have a large well trained army compared to the Greeks.

Mid-East

Israel develops the strongest army in the middle east. It uses this to expand northeast towards Mesopotamia. They want the fertile lands to feed their people.

The Hittites finish their Megalith in downtown Hattusas. Archatects from around the empire study the building. They use this in their work and the Hittities meraculousluy advance beyond what was once thought technologicly impossible. Every Hittite now lives in a small stone structure with straw roof. These hovels are the most developed living conditions in the world. The Hittite scientists also devlop wheels, carts and chariots.

The Egyptians also focus on domestic issues. The Egyptians tach writing through their numerous temples. They also find a way to have everyone live in at least tents. The Egyptians also develop a crude wheel and use them for supplies. (no training bonus)

The Persians develop their second major problem since the great collapse of economy. The Medes have banded northwest of Persia. They are just as strong as Persia and many fear a war.

Asia

Mohenjo-Daro surcumbs to the barbarians as the city falls into complete disrepair. The city is wiped from the face of the earth.

The Vietnamease remain helpless as their leaders do nothing. The Cambodians continue to raid the frontier and many grow angry at the government's incompetence.

Africa

The Morrocans try an unsuccesful invasion of Carthage. The city is just too far away for the Morrocan armies to handle. Hundreads are starved to death when the supply lines are cut. The Morrocans forget about Carthage and expand south.
