how do i fix the BMP problem? also how do i become a club member?

Kpimm can help you with your first question, but I get number two .

Basically, all Democracy Game players are automatically in the club, and people who frequent the forums on Mil-Sim.net are as well. You used to be able to pay for it, but that was kind of lame.

To fix the BMP1 error you need to open the PediaIcon.txt file located under the path \Civilization III\Conquests\Conquests\World 2004\Text. With the text file open press ctrl+f to to bring up the text finder window, type in BMP1 and click on the find next button.

Change the following lines:
art\civilopedia\icons\units\BMP1_large.pcx
art\civilopedia\icons\units\BMP1_small.pcx

Change them to read like this:
art\civilopedia\icons\units\BMP3_large.pcx
art\civilopedia\icons\units\BMP3_small.pcx

The pictures won't be exact for the unit, but they will be close. Save and close the file and it should work. Let me know if it doesn't.

Did that fix the BMP1 issue? I'm curious because I don't have a scenario loaded with russia.

It isn't just Russia, mine crashed when playing as the US.

It crashed for me once, but when I tried again, it worked perfectly.

That should fix the original problem, but if there are more errors you will get a different error message.

It happens to every computer. For me, it takes 45 minutes if I'm lucky, an hour if I'm not.

I'm pretty sure v1.2 is going to be released in a few days for those who have membership. Just an update. Most of the dates for release on our site are crap .
