World 2004 - Updated

Similar Problem here if I want to step back @F6 or if I want to get detailed information about some units I get such error messages:

FILE NOT FOUND:

"art\civilopedia\icons\units\BMP1_small.pcx"

Furthermore there are no informations about Freedom Tower and other Wonder so I can't figure out what they do :(

S4sha is right, i can not find it..

If you know how, you can edit the units document... But that's about all I've got.

Or you could copy another pcx file and rename it BMP1 or whatever it is asking for. That is what I did. :crazyeye:

I have same problem, I'd regestrated many times but every time when I try to access I see " Login Incorrect! Please Try Again"..

I've had the same problem. I'm wondering if we have to wait 24hrs after registering before we can log in? It's kind of silly to advertise a great looking mod but then not be able to gain access to it. Further more can anyone answer the question about the login problem even after you registered and received an email with a nickname and password?

I've been on the site numerous times in the past, and was even given access to 1.2 at one point. I think the site may now be dead. If the problems continue I'd pm Elfangor

I have the same problem, I want this game and its not avaliable? Is this a have or does it really exist? If so why is it you can only get it from one download site?

Has anyone got it yet?

Well it was to large to upload onto CivFanatics. (at least that is what I was told). I can also promise you the scenario actually exists and is a BLAST to play! (especially as Russia. Recreating the USSR is really fun. China is a good nation too.)

edit: The site worked fine for me. The link to the media files: http://www.fileplanet.com/148205/140000/fileinfo/Civilization-3---Conquests:--World-2004

and to the scenario itself: http://mil-sim.net/modules.php?name=Downloads&op=getit&lid=31

why don't you try those links?

Hello everyone,

Due to the obvious problems with Mil-Sim.net, I pretty much abandoned them yesterday. I can't log in or anything....

But, on the very bright side, I found another place to host the file (Thanks Thunderfall), and you don't even have to register for anything :D . Sorry for all the confusion that this has caused. The link is at the very beginning of the thread.

I'll put it here, too...

You need to download winrar which is a file compression utility something like winzip. Then simply unpack the contents to the scenarios folder in the Conquests path.

In regards to the WinRar problems, sorry, but you'll need the WinRar program, which can be downloaded yonder: Clicky

I prefer WinRar to WinZip, it's better :).

Another Update:

I plan to release a slightly modified version of World 2004 with a few more basic fixes (ie, not being able to move the Apaches and A-10s around right, making it so more ships can carry tanks, etc) to patch things up a little bit more. Let's call it v1.3 :p. Also, if anyone here is interested in helping me fix up the Civilopedia issues (I have NO clue how to fix that), please PM me, you'll get credit in a new release.

Biiiig game...
very long loading and turn time, on my com anyway...

Beside that, i love it.. But playing the faster superpower-version, I sometimes get a bit distractet by all that empty land.. So i was thinking if anyone - ANYONE - have made a mapversion with fewer players (as in superpowers), but also on a smaller map like 100x100 or something like that, so all of the land is "filled".. Then i would be loving to hear from them :)

and sorry for my bad english....
by the way, did i mention - Great game, indeed...

Great game indeed. Great wealth of units to choose from. Im still getting used to all the units I have the play with. I might slightly edit the shield output to decrease production times though.

To speed up loading time, eliminate sea trade in the editor. Also eliminate air trade. This scenario will load in less than a minute like that!
