World War II

Terrible turn for British! 2 Battleships lost while Germans somehow survived against all odds! Air superiority negates Naval Superiority in home waters -- that's for sure!

Very bloody and still unlucky attack in France. Armored units lost with almost 70% odds! What is going on? At least Saar (Hill with a mine) flipped back to France!

German cruiser Admiral Graf Spee was in Atlantic Ocean following the outbreak of war between Germany and the Allies in September 1939. On 5 October, the British and French navies formed eight two groups to hunt down Admiral Graf Spee in the Atlantic. Southern force was commanded by Commodore Henry Harwood from Ajax, which was captained by Charles Woodhouse. Second ship Achilles was of the New Zealand Division (precursor to the Royal New Zealand Navy) and captained by Edward Parry. F. S. Bell commanded few auxiliary British Submarines.

One of them spotted German surface ship together with few U-boats heading North during the last turn. Alt-S was pressed and a warning sign was created. No engagement was ordered, because our force was still far away. British Sub was ordered to get outside of the range of detection and shadow Germans. This turn it discovered her enemy again and Southern hunting force was ordered to attack! Only 1 German U-boat was far enough to escape her death, but Admiral Graf Spee together with 2 U-boats were decisively destroyed and sent to the bottom of the Ocean.

Rule Britannia, Britannia rule the waves!
Britons never ever will be slaves!

Invasion of Finland started

-Viipuri annexed

Helsinki expected to fall next turn.

Wow, this was Soviet Blitz!

Early Rockets are in! Guess who got free Great Engineer? ;)

Britain can finally declare Golden Age and switch civics to Mobilization and Mixed! Things will get easier now!

Hmmmm ... Rule 11. Human players cannot switch from their ideology (religion) and original Politics Civic (Fascist, Right Wing, Communist). ... Only part of it applies. Interesting.

I mean it clearly says about those two only: i. e. Britain must stay Right Wing and Western Allies, while Germany Fascist and Axis and Russia Comintern and Communist.

I know ... something I did not consider first up

In the war like this you cannot risk 1-2 turns of anarchy, so you would not switch anyway yet. That's why I was waiting for my 1st Golden Age with Peace time civics... I made it so Germany specifically starts with all the Warlike civics...

Nice to see an ongoing WW2 PBEM game, I love the subject and period of history. I'll be following your reports and will download the start from game 1 to get a better grasp at what the map looks like, distribution of cities and forces, etc.

GL all!

Good to see another Argentinian interested in WW2! I am playing 2 WW2s right now with this mod! My dream is to get those game lasting 1945, but it is very unlikely...

British Navy suffered very embarrassing losses last turn, mainly because of being softened by German Airforce. Surprisingly none of the German air attacks been intercepted, even though they were in range of several English fighters left on Deference

Fortunately all the direct Fighter engagements were won by British this turn, downing 3 FWs

One of the luckiest turns ever! RAF was able to avenge losses of Royal Navy by sinking German Battleship Scharnhorst in Kiel!

We also warn Denmark that all the German ships in Danish ports will be interned for overstaying their allowed time limits in "neutral" ports. We know Denmark was never able to ensure her neutrality, so we might help ;)!

Big chunk of German Fleet overstayed its stay in Neutral Copenhagen and was interned with the help of British personnel :crazyeye:!

Spoiler :
You were warned, kiwitt!

Guys... Who has the turn?
