A lot of Turkish hotels are like that. In my bathroom it's big enough that the toilet normally just gets a little wet but it's not like you're taking a shower over the toilet. The problem is the water heater cable sometimes catches on fire and I have to replace it.

They're Kurdish so they're more used to using the squat.

I think the problem is more often the other way around actually. In any case, the majority of houses and apartments I've been to, have toilet and shower in the same room.
