Hi all,

I just downloaded and installed the patch posted on http://www.uk.infogrames.com//?pg=goodies&gcat=patches
and I can confirm (with 99% certainty) that it really IS the correct patch for the UK English version of PTW. They must have gotten the size wrong or something. It is a 10.4 MB download, but it seems to work!

My splash screen now shows my version to be 1.21f

The program also seems to run normally, and no trouble with copy protection. So my advice: GO FOR IT, happy patching, and happy multiplay!!

In answer to your questions:

No, and considering the extremely long wait (well it seemed that way anyway ), probably not....

The patch to 1.21 for all of Europe is not the patch that was scheduled to go to testing in late April. The patch that I am relating to fixes the problems with 1.21f.

The next patch (1.24f/1.26f) was being developed to fix the problems with 1.21f It has now been approximately 11 weeks and I'm sure it will go beyond that since today is Friday 7/11/03.
