Worst Movie of all time?

Yeah i saw that on HBO one time, soooooo gay. It made no sense whatsoever. 2001 was a masterpiece, i think they should ban movies that ruin the reputation of the preceding movie or tv show.

1. Johnny Mnemonic
2. Battlefield Earth
3. Get Carter(Sylvester Stallone)
4. Waterworld
5. The Postman

The Patriot was a shocker but not in the league of those above.

Which one? Steven Segal's or Mel Gibson's? I didn't see MGs, but SSs was pretty bad. . .

i think he's referring to MG's. The one where MG hacks a dead guy with a ice pick axe lookin thing with blood spurting and splashing as he's hacking. Not to mention the preceding axe fight scene. And with a guy getting his head knocked off by a bouncing cannon ball. I thought it was pretty cool.

Mel Gibson's version. I haven't seen Steven Seagal's and I am unlikely ever to put myself through that torture.

The Patriot was just so much codswallop it was impossible to swallow. It had all the Hollywood cliches in it, token racist, token black guy, fiesty priest, dastardly anti-hero, buffoon enemies, 2 Australians saving the US, great hero called out of retirement, etc

I don't agree with YNCS about Dune, I liked that movie.
The problem with Dune is that it's impossible to boil a densely packed, complicated 850 page (plus appendices) novel into a 140 minute movie. DeLaurentis and Lynch tried, but failed. The job was just too massive for them. To do the story justice, it would probably have taken a Lord of the Rings-type trilogy or perhaps a tv-miniseries. Stuffed into a mere two hours and twenty minutes, Dune was a stillborn epic.

A few years ago I rented Dune and watched it with my wife and daughter. Having read the book (in fact, the entire series), I knew what was going on in the movie. My wife and daughter hadn't read the book, so they didn't have a clue as to what was happening. I didn't like the movie because it wasn't true to the book. My wife and daughter didn't like it because they were confused within the first three minutes and never were able to catch up with the story. In short, it was a movie none of us could enjoy.

The TMNT rocked! Can't believe you put that in here!

OK, I admit that when I first saw that movie I liked it, but it was many years ago, and I was a little stupid kid!
Now when I think of it, I can't believe that someone could make a movie about ninja turtles! That's the most stupid idea for characters I've ever heard.

Many other movies based upon comic books or games could be mentioned:
Street Fighter - I saw it because I played the game a bit, but the movie was pathetic.
Spawn - It's a crime what they did from such a great comic book.
Mortal Kombat 2 - First part was ok, but second was much worse.

Any Russ Meyer film, other then the gratiutous sex they are HORRID.
Close runner up would have to be Battlefield earth

I'm going to have to fess up and admit that I enjoyed "Dude, where's my car?". I didn't think I would enjoy it, nor did I think I'd ever admit to it, but there you go!!

The shame, the shame... :)

Home Alone 3 - what crap! There were four idiot thives instead of two and the kid (not McCulken  ) did tricks inconceivable by a nine-year old. Like wiring yearn in the front yard or putting a trapoline over his pool.

I liked it better when it was a lot less sophisticated - I mean what kind of kid would fill two toy carts with ready-dry cement?

The Horse Whisperer. What else?

I have never seen the movie, nor will I ever!

How can you deem a movie as being the "Worst Movie of All Time" if you haven't seen it?

I am realy seriously thinking I shouldn't have written this but here it goes.

Please refrain from flaming me, but since opinions on movies are simply that and thus are subjective I am completly justified in writing this.

2001 A space Oddesy was a load of crap. That was the most boring movie I've ever seen. I'm sorry but I don't find seeing a guy in a space suit float slowly towards an object in space with a bloody annoying hissing sound going on the entire time entertaining what so ever.

That is very easy: I have seen the trailer. that made me puke! I promised myself to never ever watch it!

BTW: the title sais it all: I'll translate it for you:

The horse whisperer = don't watch this movie unless you are a woman!
