Worst Movie of all time?

The Postman.........or any movie with Steven Seagall, or however you spell that name.

Pearl Harbour!

Of all the bad war movies, this was the worst (especially for a non-American). The part where Roosevelt started walking... jesus, I didn't know should I laugh at the patheticness of the movie or should I cry out of pity.

I ended up doing both :(

You mean nobody here's ever seen the *truly* worst movie of all time?
"The Terror Of Tiny Town" a 1938 "all midget western"... I swear, it's true. A blurb on its advertising poster touted “Half-pints in ten-gallon hats!” There were good guys, bad guys, rustlers, and dance hall girls. All "little people". And when the posse took off after the bad guys riding shetland ponies...well, Hollywood has never topped this one for bad taste.

I don't know, wilbill...that actually sounds pretty good.

According to the users of The Internet Movie Database...

The worst movie of all time is:

Manos, the Hands of Fate which got an average score of 1.5 out of 4,089 voters rating it from 1-10. Fully 82.4% of the voters gave it a '1' score.

I didn't like the plot of the third Austin Powwers movie. You can't make another movie with that ending.

To the people who criticized the Lord of the Rings: FoTR and TTT movies: I think you're being extremely unfair calling them the worst movies of all time, but you are entitled to your own opinion. And here's mine: If you think you can do a better job, go make the book into a movie format yourselves.

"The Hours" is the worst movie of the YEAR. 2 HOURS of your life (and $9.00) that you can never get back.

It was three totally unrelated stories - each one about nothing.

My girlfriend (who has a bachleor of arts with a minor in women's studies) insists that "it was about a LOT of things - you just didn't understand them". :) I'll take her word for it. :)

9 dollars? Wow - it's only maybe five where I go to the theaters.

Harry Potter was crap - they duplicated the scenes well but failed to capture the spirit of the book. Might not be the worst, but it ranks low in my ratings.

I've seen it and it's not. The novelty wears off after about 5 minutes and it's just a bad "B" western with midgets. I'd compare it to Ed Wood's work, but the production values are better for what that's worth. It lacks the kitch and unpredictable quality of "Plan 9 From Outer Space" or "Bride Of The Monster."

I've said it before, I'll say it again, and others have said it better:

Superman IV: The Quest for Peace

This schlockbuster was UNDOUBTEDLY the worst thing to happen to celluloid since...since...since Ed Wood convinced a church group to let him make Plan 9 to fund their fundie docu-drama.

I mean seriously people. Please, please, PLEASE don't think I am in any way advocating the rental or purchase of this sh1tfest-on-film, but how many of you have actually endured this nauseating heaving mass of vomitous filth? Have you seen the scenes where Lana Lang's kid reads his letter? Where grown men and world leaders cave to the whims of a little boy? Where Superman gets all weak and sick because his clone had dirty fingernails? Do I even have to mention Ned Beatty? Mein Gott, I'm getting feverish just REMEMBERING this crapfest, and no one even mentions it on this list?

Dear God, it even made someone's list of choices for 'Best Comic Book Movie'.

I gotto go retch...

"The Pod People" was atrocious. I saw it a "Mystery Science Theater", which was hilarious. So even the worst movies have their uses.

The Avengers. Because the first preview was really good then the movie was so very wretched.

I hate it because the preview gave me no clue it would be so bad.

But to be fair, the second preview for it was really bad, and I should've re-accessed my hopes at that time. But I didn't. I said to myself "I am going to trust these people that they will not screw me." And they let me down.

Another one that deserves scorn is "Showgirls." I thought it would AT LEAST include some hot action, but it was actually very tame. And really truly awful.

To add insult to injury, it opened opposite David Fincher's "Seven," and "Seven" is one of the Greatest Movies Ever Made. But I saw "Showgirls" that night on the promise of hot NC-17 T&A. I will never forgive "Showgirls" for my poor decision.

But Seattle humorist David Schmader has incorporated the movie into a dinner theatre piece (where he reveals the genius of the film) that is OUTSTANDING. Schmader single-handedly redeemed "Showgirls."

Fearless --

It made the list because it was one of the 20 comic book movies I could think of, and the point of the list was to vote on it.

Some freak voted for it, but it was not me!

OMG Manos:the hands of fate - saw that on MST3000, and wow that was inconceivably bad. Ok, I change my vote. (Although I still *dislike* The Postman more.)

If those are the worst movies you've seen, you've been a very sheltered lad.

I guess Zcylen doesn't really like these reality-imaging movies that come up with hard facts and smart logic and hammer the naked truth into one's head while loosing all illusions.
:mischief:
