Worst Movie of all time?

Zcylen has the right of it.

Hanks cannot act.
He plays the same character in every movie.

That's my tuppence worth...

Anyone else see this piece of trash?

Yes but I wish I hadn't.

Another one I wished I had missed is Signs. Utter crap.

Has anyone mentioned 'The Patriot' and 'Once we were Soldiers'?

Both reeking to the high heavens!

Let me guess, Curt...they were "chest-thumping drivel"? :D

You foreigners have weird standards for movies. "Signs" was great. Sure, it was mind-numbingly stupid not to take at least a kitchen knife into the cellar with them, but it was pretty spooky and I laughed out loud a couple times.

"Patriot," while I wouldn't call it a documentary, was a well-made, entertaining movie! Why is it so unpopular around here?!?

I thought "We Were Soldiers" was decent too. It had good acting, it had great fighting, and it was even historically accurate!

Hanks plays the same character in every movie? What the heck are you talking about? I don't worship the guy, but he's a good actor.

Go watch "The Money Pit" and tell me otherwise!

I'm glad someone can support my hatred of TTRL. It's the only movie I've ever seen that actually made me want to get up and leave the theater. I stayed just to see how ludicrous it could get.

I'm with thestonesfan on Signs, though. It was genuinely spooky and the ending was great.

I liked the movie. Though it is very long, and a lot of actors that advertised for it, only appear for about 2 minutes. But it is a good war movie, you just have to take your time.

Movies I really did not like were:
Austin Powers 2+3
The Horse Whisperer (Stapel is right)

The ultimate superbad movie is "Sleepless in Seattle", only equalled by "You've got mail" and "Kate and Leopold". Those are torture. And musical movies (with the great exceptions of "Dancer in the Dark" and "8 femmes") are close behind, though I try to avoid watching them in the first place. I have seen neither "Chicago" nor "Moulin Rouge" yet, but "Greece" still makes me wish I'd sometimes leave after the opening titles.

"torture" was the word I was looking for

"The Wedding Planner" is truly retch-worthy, yet I must concede to my own rules and say it is a decent for what it is, a total chick flick.

I never thought of being satirical, i just thought it was dumb.
I probably missed the point, if there was one.
My girlfriend thought it was a great film and got me to watch it, and I've heard many others say they loved it,......sorry lads, I thought it was sh*t.:crazyeye:

Oh...you...poor...deluded...fool.

Robert A Heinlen was KIDDING, man. He wasn't being serious. This story was written as a spoof of war movies and their nationalistic overtures of 'Glory to der Furher!!' Trust us on this.

Rent the movie again. Don't worry about the bug plot, or the love triangle, or any of that crap. In fact, try hard to ignore the dialogue(since it mostly sucks), and just concentrate on the backgound scenerey, especially advertising, and listen to the Public Address announcements. If you manage to ignore the plot and the dialogue, this movie is sheer genius!!

I do however reccomend paying close attention to the ta-tas in the shower scenes. Yummy! ;) :goodjob:

And I also subconsciensly dislike movies that "everybody" likes. (Lord of the rings, Matrix, Saving Private Ryan, Titanic, the Rock, Mission Impossible, Face/Off... etc, etc)
Oh...my. How trendilly nihilistic of you. You are just sooo different, that all of us should just fall down at your feet and kiss your toes.

 Oh, no. No wait. You're just a pretentious schmuck.

Joel Schumaker movies almost always have intriguing trailers, so I shell out my $9US and see the movie and then it's utter garbage. He's gotten me about ten times now.

"Falling down" was not too bad. Though this was an exception.

I didn't like the end of "Falling Down," but it was a blast to see straight-laced Douglas whooping up on street punks.

It seems some trans-Atlantic 'foreigners' have even weirder standards.
You think because you think 'signs' was good, everyone else should march lock-step?

I think 'Faster pussycat, kill kill!' is great, but I bet most people would hate it.

Stonesfan, it is all a matter of taste.

Well made?

Anti-British chest-thump drivel.
I bet if we Brits made a movie about us kicking colonial butt and burning the whitehouse down, it would not be so warmly welcomed!

Ask a veteran of Vietnam how accurate it is.

He is one dimensional. And has no variation. You obviously only want to see the positives of a movie, I dig deeper.

I will stick to this, the man is useless.

I said subconsciensly. Its not that I dont want to enjoy these movies.

But I understand your reaction..

WHAT!?!?!?

I think the vast majority of cinema releases recently actually stink in a huge way.

I have not watched a movie really since the 2nd LOTR movie.

Nothing really inspiring to motivate me spending £5 in the cinema.
