Honestly... big discussions should have stickies here guys...

1) How close are we to finalizing a constitution?

2) Don't you think it'd be better to have a website organized? What we have here is confusing and intimidating. A website to organize things into categories like Government (constitution, ruling party, other parties, offices being held, members, etc), Economy (what we're building in our cities or plan to in the future), Diplomacy (how we're fairing with other civilizations), etc. While I'm not a programmer if someone wishes I can help design pictures and layouts and the like.

3) Is there an actual list yet of offices that will be (or are) filled? Like President, Diplomatic Advisor, Economic Advsior, etc.

4) Wouldn't it be best to have a limit on the # of people in a game? I mean honestly I bet we could get well over 50 people here. Maybe 25 people to a game. Whats the problem with having 2 or even 3 Demo Games going at once?

5) Where the bloody hell is the map? Have we started? When are we expected to start? Is there a map we have already chosen we should all download?

honestly I sort've expected a little more organized out of this... I'm happy to help were I can so please just tell me what I can do!

Welcome to the DemoGame!

Very close, like expect to see a poll nearly immediately. :D

There is a website thread in the government subforum, we'd be happy to get all the help we can get!

See the "Triumvirate Government" thread for the sorta leading candidate.

If we have that many people, we might try a co-operative multiplayer game as a future DG -- play as two or more civs and have a friendly competition. We also have a team PBEM going for Civ3 and expect to do one for Civ4 too. In practice we may have 200 people sign up and only 20 active, and we need at least that many actives to make the game work well.

5) Where the bloody hell is the map? Have we started? When are we expected to start? Is there a map we have already chosen we should all download?
No, we're aiming for a Jan 1, 2006 "creation day". The reason we haven't started yet is many of our citizens don't even have Civ4 yet.

honestly I sort've expected a little more organized out of this... I'm happy to help were I can so please just tell me what I can do!

That would be great! Would you like to start discussions / polls on environmentals, such as what civ, level, map type, settings, etc? :D

It's more or less done.

2) Don't you think it'd be better to have a website organized?
are you volunteering? :)

we have no ruling party we are free. ;)

other parties, offices being held, members, etc), Economy (what we're building in our cities or plan to in the future), Diplomacy (how we're fairing with other civilizations), etc. While I'm not a programmer if someone wishes I can help design pictures and layouts and the like.
Consider yourself drafted contact Commissar Ginger_Ale for you work assignment. ;)

3) Is there an actual list yet of offices that will be (or are) filled? Like President, Diplomatic Advisor, Economic Advsior, etc.
See HERE for links to possible governments.

4) Wouldn't it be best to have a limit on the # of people in a game? I mean honestly I bet we could get well over 50 people here. Maybe 25 people to a game. Whats the problem with having 2 or even 3 Demo Games going at once?
No there is no limit to the number of people in a game. Not everyone who signs up will be active all the time, some sign up only to never reappear. There will probably be a multi-team demo game for Civ4 like the on for Civ3 before two long, but it would be better to ask Regentman or Ginger_Ale.

5) Where the bloody hell is the map? Have we started? When are we expected to start? Is there a map we have already chosen we should all download?
That's a good idea I wonder if a hell map has been moded yet.
