WW2-Europe XXL

Well I beat the game as Germany on Emperor, it took weeks.

Here is my list in order of who I took out:
1) Poland (@ L'viv)
2) Benelux Countries (@ Luxembourg)
3) Baltic Countries (@ Liepaja)
4) Sweden (@ Lulea)
5) Yugoslavia (@ Pristina)
6) Norway (@ Bodo)
7) Switzerland (@ Zurich)
8) Portugal (@ Ponta Delgada)
9) Greece (@ Rhodos)
10) France (@ Sfax)
11) Turkey (@ Latakia)
12) Spain (@ Santa Cruz de Tenerife)
13) Finland (@ Maarianhamina)
14) Iraq (@ Basra)
15) Ireland (@ Gailleamh/Galway)
16) Iran (@ Yaz'd)
17) USSR (@ Krasnodar)
18) Denmark (@ Reykjavik)
19) United Kingdom (@ St. Johns)
20) America (@ Chicago)

Since I'm a very kind guy I gave some cities to my allies. Plus, this also free'd up some troops which were used to protect cities.

Italy captured: El Alamein, Skopje, Nice, Tunis, Corse, Podgorico, Ionnina, Agrinio, Palma de Mallorca
Italy was given: Sfax, Geneva, Assiut, Qina, Rhodos, Split, Nicosia, Latakia, Beirut, Haifa, Giza, Cairo, Patrai, Kalamata, Antalya, Malta, Irakleion, Akaba, Port Said, Jerusalem, Gaza, Amman, Damascus,

Bulgaria captured: Edirne
Bulgaria recieved: Istanbul, Zonguldak, Samson, Trabzon

Rumania captured: Odessa, Chernivitsi, Mykolaiv
Rumania recieved: Melitopol', Sevastopol'

Slovakia captured: Suchumi, Bumi
Slovakia recieved: Ostrava, Sumy, Penza

Hungary captured: n/a
Hungary recieved: n/a

Most of the give aways were after I had conquered or nearly conquered that country and I just gave it away for fun, these cities were usually close to their recieving countries.

Well I was bored so I thought I'd mention that.

I'm going to try to take over again but this time as Russia or Turkey.

nice jopb aeldrik:goodjob: i got a look at the map. but for some reason under PTW it only has Medieval Japan and not WW2. you may have already answered this but i dont have time to look though 150+ posts.

Thanks,
David

aeldrik, that's a great scenario :goodjob:
When will you post your next version of it? Although I did not have much time to play it yet, I was fascinated and would like to see the new tech tree "in action".

allright... with so many people posting I have no choice but to upload it tonight... just started working on the Readme instead of the CIVILOPEDIA, since I still need to figure out how to make new entries for buildings and techs (that will be then for a next version). Explanatio to the new Techs and Building will be in the readme file at first. I hope you won't mind too much...

I changed the readme to make it more clear, just check it when I upload it, they shoudl then be in
CIV3/Conquest/conquests/WW2 Aeldrik/Art/Units
these folders should all be there once you have unziped the file in the conquest/conquests folder....

ok i did, its configuring the scenario on my computer. Thats the part that takes a long time right?

Thanks to everyone!
David

Version 1.05 is online and can be downloaded from the first post of the thread...
I had to make two files (3 MB limit...), the second file is just a units, please place it in the units folder of the scenario....
Let me know if something doesn't work...

I also uploaded a saved game as the Third Reich, the others will follow soon...

have fun...

I almost got it to work, but it stopped at 71%. THere was a weird program on my computer, it was like ~e5d...I fogot the whole thing, could this be a bug?

?? it usually "stops" at different points, actually it goes on loading, just the percentage stops for a longer time... If something was not right with the scenario file CIV would give you an error report stating a file is missing.. what you wrote doesn't ring any bells for me...

Greetings,

Really looking forward to the scenerio, but having problems loading. I'm just past the point where it loads the scenerio, and it takes about an hour, after which I get " text\Pedilcoms.text".ANIMNAME_PRTO_Russian_Infantry...game will now exit. This seems to be just as it's initiating the game, since I can see the beginning gameboard in backround. Can you help? Thanks. ( Here's your thanks for all those hours developing the scenerio - hours and hours of technical assistance! )
