Btw, got another game running as italy and I regognized that the size of many german cities fell to 1 or 2. I guess that has something to do with hurrying production in facism combined with the stupid KI. Is it possible to make fascism regimes also use the hurrying by payment way ? This might prevent that KI bug.
 
Bugs report.
1) Adv destroyer - diffense 0.
2) Movie theaters unhappy face 2.
3) Suggestion to change Forced labor camp instead of -10 culture 4 unhappy in town.
 
Dedin: the cities reduced to one come from the fact that units cost 1 pop point... On smaller cities, the AI usually only buys units, and the cities end up without population... I think this represents quite well the lack of people for the Army...
 
As to the speed of the Tiger, I found some interesting information. According to that - I think - you should not slow down the Tiger to just one tile per turn. With 35/42 kmh on road and 14-30 kmh off road the Tiger II was definitely slower than the first T-34 (55/42 kmh). However, it was faster than the infantry. So I think the speed of the Tiger should be in between infantry and T-34 speed (make it perhaps 1=infantry, 2=tiger,3=T-34).

Tiger should have more hp, attack and diffence than others. German most famous Michael Witman alone (just 1 tiger) in 20 minutes fight killed 21 tanks and 28 other armor cars from English elite "Desert rats". It happen on 13 june of 1944.
 
@ Aeldrik: Yeah ok, but who would hurry all productions in the small cities with the effect of 10-15 cities with no economy and production ability ? With more than 10 such cities the German KI is not able to compete with the Allies KI, but that´s up to you.

By playing Italy I found another thing, it seems that they are not able to build their infantry. This should be fixed, rifleman just sucks ;)

Concerning the tiger, I have to agree with vlad and cellku. The tiger was one of the best and most usefull tanks in world war 2. There were only just such few of them cause of the lack of german resources in the end of the war (mainly fuel). But most of the allied commanders feared the tiger as a powerful weapon, even in small numbers.

about the Labor camps, they didn't make people unhappy around where they were, people didn't know, or didn't want to know/care...

The AI's of all nations have the same problem with the population, but during WW2, Germany was the country which at the end had the biggest Problem finding new soldiers, so I think small cities should be a problem in every game as the germans in this scenario

About the tiger:
the scenario works with two types of advanced Tanks, the light, and the heavy. I would make the Tiger (HEavy German Tank) stronger on attack an defence, as well as 1 HP bonus, but also a lot more expensive. The T-34 would be replacing the Russian Light Tank, only be cheaper to build.
I will also add a Soviet specific artillery unit.

You said once that you would like to make nations like Spain and Switzerland neutral. Is that possible by not giving them the technology to do military alliances ? Maybe this could be a way to delay an USA war entry by giving them the chance to research that. I'm not that familar with the editor, but I saw something like that in the great war scenario by sarevok.

Did some more playtesting...

It seems that the scenario is well balanced for playing the
third reich. But with the KI playing the germans, the third reich is just too weak or the soviets way too overpowered. I played as Italy till week 5 1940 and the german KI didnt even get to conquer whole benelux and poland. The soviets declared war at the axis 5 turns ago and were already close to berlin. Maybe you should think about decreasing the industrial power of the soviets in the beginning. Another option would be a delay of the tank technology for them.

It´s a pity that the KI is that stupid. I was closer to Paris with Italy than the Germans to Luxembourg ;)

aeldrik, I support the Sturm-Tiger. Perhaps you could also add another airplane? To add some variety there, as well.

To try and make it work I declared war on America right away but it hasnt made them friends! Help!
 
hi, strategically Germany relied on having Rumania as an ally for its oil. I suggest giving Rumania oil (lots) and making the tanks need oil to run. Then Hitler will need to protect Rumania to stay in the game.

I'd also rename Uranium steel, introduce steel works and put these in Norway and Sweden, both of whom produced masses of metal for Hitler, most especially Sweden which manufactured 80% of the ball bearings needed by the Third Reich.

Dedin: as most players choose the third Reich... (go figure why...) i guess it is the best I can do short of making one version for each nation (nnnooooooo).
It really is a pitty the AI is so bad, but I just can't reinforce the TR more, as the Human players would otherwise have a way to easy victory...

Cellku: The Iowa class is a good idea, the problem is, for all units, the place it takes, I will have to choose carefully, since the Files already now total about 10 MB!!! but I will go through the units library every once in a while and keep picking the nicest units for all of you....
As always if someone sees a nice unit, please post the link...

Palmerston: that old US problem.... well, ..... nothing I can do, yet, just hope for the next patch....
The Rumanian oil is something I wanted as well, but since you can't preset trade agreements, there is no way to implement it, since Rumania would go trading its oil with other AIs. and a human Germany would be left without almost every game...
Since Steel is Iron and COal, I didn't implement it (even though I thought about it) also because you can't preset it. Instead I placed the Aluminium up there, so the Germans have to go and get it from Scandinavia...

The Idea about making Alliances as a special Tech only available to some is great, the only problem is it won't solve the problem of the civs going to war, but it is already a huge improvement, I will implement it... thx

Sturm Tiger for Germans: Not Wheeled Artillery
Bismark and Iowa Battleships: Germany and US specifics
WaffenSS Detect Invisible/Stealth, only TR, wonder given
Italian Light Tank and English Tank l6 and sherman

PS: once it is finished, anyone interested in E-Mail MP games with this scenario?

They never build naval units because I set it that way in the Editor, do you see it as very unrealistic, I don't know what kind of navy sweden had in WW2....
