Wyrm's Infantry WIP thread

Whaddayaknow! I stand corrected... I just looked up some pics of Kaiserjäger, and those guys had feathers, not oak leaves. So forget about my "light objection". Do what you think is right.

Sorry for the minuscule pic, but perhaps they were Tyrolean Kaiserschützen? (Although the Bosnian gives me pause ...)

Best,

Oz

PS Much better shot of Kaiserschuetzenregiment 1 Innsbruck Tyrol Austria re-enactors.

-O.

PPS Pic3 Feathers in the cap seem all the rage with the Kaiserschutzen.

-O.

Something tells me that those re-enactors would have gotten seriously reprimanded for their appearance...

The one on the left moreso I think. But re-enacting the part of a German soldier, I must admit that being constantly aware of the appearance of your uniform can be challenging (though I usually straighten things up when a photo is being taken). The era I re-enact is the same era as the man in your avatar TopGun (yes, I know that's Walter Nowotny).

Also, it's hard to tell from your pic only, but the Turkish helmet should not have a visor. As one should not protect his eyes from the Sun gift of allah or something like that .

It probably would not show anyway at civ scale, but as I know you like to pay attention to details.

I had a week ban. The only way I could update the picture was to change the original in my photobucket account. I guess no one noticed.

Sorry, my previous comment was a bit snarky ...

I'm also doing some generic Trenchers that Ares requested. No I didn't forget the picture, I left it out on purpose.

I had a brainstorm during the night. I'm putting the WW1 infantry on hold because they're frankly very boring, just changing colors and switching equipment. I will soon get back to them. But right now I've been up all night making a brand new infantry model from scratch. I'm not just mixing and matching parts like I have done in the past. No. This new pet project needs a whole new body to work from. It's because HE's a genuine badass.
Here's you're only hint: it's a request I made myself.

I guess no one likes to play my guessing games hmmmmm?

I was trying to find a super-hero type model in my giant bag of tricks. I had this guy sitting onmy drive for a few years and finally found a use for him. I just used the arms and the torso. Took all last night to combine it with my standard infantry torso and mold in the arms into something realistic.

Wow, really really cool Wyrm. I could only remember your request for more leader units, but I couldn't think of one being a badass. Unless you count Reagan-rambo. Your model looks too cool. I love the WWII style Cap.
Oh, oh! With your new Hitler, we can do this at Civ scale!

Bucky will not be making an appearance, in any form.
