Wyrm's Infantry WIP thread

The paratrooper and 50 cal crew are done and posted. I am FINISHED with all my Harry Turtledove units.

@Ciaran: "More"? That's a good joke... :lol:
Wyrm covered all possible and reasonable units for both the USA and the CSA, threw in a Quebecois and a Mexican, and also made historical units for the UK and Germany!

I was joking ;)

I was joking ;)

You are WAY too new to be making jokes like that in my threads.

Thank you for all the units you have made, and I look forward to whatever units the muse strikes you with next.

thx
At the moment I'm working on the WW1 german Storm Trooper.

New or not, everyone has the same rights here :D

Then tell that to the poeple that constantly pestered me for their own pet projects. I made it a point that I would never make their requests.

Everyone may have the same rights, but that doesn't mean I have to listen to them or entertain their wishes. The more annoying a person gets, the quicker they get on my ignore list.. and then I never have to see or hear from them ever again.

Often overlooked power that was a major WW1 player.

Isn't the "Hechtgrau" in the first soldier's uniform usually a little lighter?

See here.

Other than that: I am thrilled, to say the least, to see Austrian soldiers emerge!

The color samples I had were very light, I thought too light. But if you say it's too dark, then I'll try another version. I hope the Pikegrey of the latewar is a good match. What is the little bunch of leaves in the hat?

How 'bout now?

I think that now, you nailed the "Hechtgrau" camo color.
As far as the bunch of leaves on the hat go, not sure whether you want to keep them or not. As far as I know, only the Tiroler Kaiserjäger Regiment (an elite unit) sported those. The regular K.u.K. infantry regiments did not. Your call, you're the artist here...

Okay, I didn't have many pictures to work with and I didn't know the meaning of the oak leaves. I was basing it entirely on this picture. They don't all look like they are from the same regiment, especially the Bosnian in the back with the fez.
