The Poilu looks great, and the Chauchat turned out wonderful. Is that automatic rifle gonna find its way into a doughboy's hands? Bang up job on the units as always, wyrmshadow.

No. That is why I made the BAR infantry.

Understood. Now sarcasmoderator, the chauchat was fielded to the majority of american divisions in france.

But at civscale can you tell the difference between a chauchat and a BAR? The US already has five different infantry units.

I'm learning a lot about both the military of the period & why so many unit makers are detail oriented. But I have to say that watching the interplay between French ironic & German iron will is even more entertaining. I wish the jingoistic part of the discussion had a bit more NY subtlety to the cruel wit however. at this point I'd call the match ad out. Congratulations to Wyrmshadow for maintaining a cool head while playing solo versus the double-teaming.

Now that the preliminary toadying is out of the way: it struck me that this unit looks like it could be the basis of a zouave. I don't know how fun the needed changes would be, however.
