Hi, whenever I try to start up the game it flashes a black screen for a second then crashes. I got an asus z70va with a x700 Radeon Mobility 2gb RAM 150gb HD and 2.0 GhZ centrino. Any suggestions. I tried disabling full screen and intro movie through the .ini files and I even used mobility modder to update my drivers but no dice.

The x700 does not support Shader Model 3, which is required for Civ5.

If it would run, you would probably set the new CFC record for "slowest hardware it runs on"
IF it would, certainly not decently :p

well it works, its slow as molasses but it at least is somewhat playable. Its funny I don't have problems with SCII but a turnbased strat game can be completely unrunnable. What are the chances that a Shadershock like project is in the works so I could run it decently on my x700? Hey I can think happy thoughts can't I?
