U R wrong ... I suppose. Civgeek wasn't offered, vmerchant does not have the tech.
Still I am not sure about offline processing of diplomacy (because we were luckily online at the same moment with Darkness), but I believe it also works fine. Only the interface is really awful, because U can't cancel an offer or even see what U offered. Correct me, if I am wrong ;-)

TELawrence, no accelerated sessions planned for this week. There definately should be sessions in the future though. The problem is that many people have to do special arrangements to be able to play, so we should allow some time in between.

AFAIK I played exactly like the first time...

By looking at the Civstats game log (725 BC) it seems to me that this accidental gifting just took place there. If my interpretation of the log is correct Darkness accepted garf's tech trade proposal and after that vmerchant and Civgeek got and accepted the same tech as a gift. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No gifts received here; and as the world's most technologically advanced civilization we are not amused at the suggetsion we would even need to be gifted a technology. --- Vicky

No need to do that... We are allready doing 24 hour turns... which will keep while you are away...
Just schedule some moves and builds....

Also everyone should take note you are away and shouldnt declare war on you...

Since the pitboss timer actually goes quite a bit slower than real time, is there any chance of having it set to ~20 hour turns or something?

We're performing an upgrade on the server (bigger raid array) and the it will be offline for around 10-12 hours. I'm sorry for the downtime, but the game was saved and we can continue without problems tomorrow. This was the best time to do this step, since every person should be out on the streets getting drunk right now . C'mon, what are you waiting for? Go get laid!

I'll shorten the turn time to 20 hours as well, because its getting drawn out already.

Oh well, the videocard died in my notebook today, so I have to join the borg until it gets fixed (they said 1 week). I hope the AI won't send the settler into that one desert spot I have in my territory.

I feel like I'm stuck in a timewarp ... playing the same turn over and over and over .... and we haven't even researched space travel yet, yet alone time travel.

Short story:

I play on line too, and I have to register at myleague.com to play lagger games. I wanted to register as ptpan as well, but couldn't (long story). Bottom line, when I launch civ4, some times to play on line as pnet, and forgot to change back to ptpan when I play pitboss.

I know there is a program to launch civ sessions according to profile...but too busy to get to it..besides, my screen res is 1920 X 1200, so it won't work untill I make a special request for this resolution..

Well, the short answer became long now. Sorry for the confusion, will try to remember doing properly before log on to pitboss, but I'm only human...
