What war have you fought that was just super amazing. Like you were fighting 3 civ's at once and beat them all with a army. Mine was when I was fighting the whole world (spy set dirty bomb off in a city) and I beat back the armies and soon had conquered 2 of the 4 other civ's and had the other 2 civ's on the run while only losing 6 units :-)!!! It was great. O but whats yours??

Mine was way back, before I knew how to really play the game. I learned that the AI couldn't fight during this war.

I can't remember which civ I was, but I can remember was that my main opponent, the Mongols, was three times bigger than I was. I expected a massive invasion of my home continent a few turns later and immediately began building up for a counterattack.

None came.

Soon, I realized that they weren't going to do anyrthing to me if I stayed put, so I decided to go on offensive. About 30 or so turns later, the Mongols had been completely wiped out.

Mine was when i was playing a LAN game with my brother. He believed that we were going to work together to bet all the other empires. Of course i was sick of just killing another AI enemy so me being more powerful, I started building a massive army around his island, consisting of battleships, destroyers and fully loaded transport ships filled with tanks. I then started demanding things like money and telling him that he couldn't expand his empire. Of course he got sick of this and declared war. Little did he know about the massive army i had already. In one turn i had capture all his coastal cities, destroy his navy and had a second wave ready to invade. he was so pissed off.

it was funny.

I don't usually fight wars with other units than spies (and howitzers to take their capital), so I don't have much to tell. But when I was a newbie I couldn't play a single game without a war or two. In one of them I was the Germans, and crushed the Russians (which were on another island), and the Egyptians (which were on yet another island). Both times I bombarded them first with Catapults, then Cannons, then Artillery, and finally Howitzers.

But nowadays I try to stay peaceful.

I'm not sure what my best war was, but I do have my WORST war: the current Post Wars. As long as Perfection is in it, every singe player/nation is crap. Including me. No one can win against Perfection. He is too smart.

my most amazing war was one i fought in a game where i gave the ai a big turn advantage at the start (deity level). the mongols with about 70 cities lauched a spaceship and i had almost no army. i was also kind of poor and small but with lots of tiny cities scattered about their perimeter. :( so i built spies every turn and a couple turns before the spaceship was to arrive i nuked their core ... about 10 cities .. and occupied the cities. it brought back the spaceship alright but it also ignited an extremely ugly war with them. there was no civil war because there were still 7 civs  they were too rich for me to be able to bribe their cities. i held onto united nations for dear life because i knew my life depended on it. the cheaters would take about THREE cities before my UN would force peace and they would declare war again the next turn. i sort of had to nuke 3 cities each turn and occupy to make up the loss and this went on turn after turn as i was only able to build or rush build about 20 spies per turn. there were at least two global warmings during this debacle. if you even think i had any engineers to begin to clean up the mess i did not. after about 60 turns of atomic warfare i ran out of time and the game ended. i had a negative civ score :p ... i was winning the war by this time however and if i had continued playing i would have eventually conquered mongolia. then i would of course have to conquer the rest of the world. you know come to think of it i think someone else launched a spaceship during that war and i had to nuke them too.

My most amazing war was with the Mongols, Zulus and Americans. It all began when the mongols stole Miniturization or something. I declared War on them and they activated there alliance with the Americans. The same turn, the Zulus launched a suprise attack from Africa.
I was in control of Europe and had the most technology. Despite my smaller land mass, I had the second most populous Civilization. My army was smaller, and mostly defensive units, but I had far superior units (eg rifleman vs. howitzers and helicopters). The Americans were very advanced but not as advanced as I and slightly less populous than me. There army was slightly smaller than mine. The Zulus were fairly primitive and had not made it out of the industrial age. The Mongols were just behind the Americans on the tech scale, and possessed an army 3-5 times larger than mine (I never found out the full size but it was MASSIVE). They occupied all of Asia and had estanblished a colony in Australia.
First I moved into Africa and took out the Zulus and there 8 cities with ease in about 5 turns. In the meantime, I rushed built Howitzers in my colony in Central America and sent several full transports to America. They eventually offered a Peace Treaty, which I signed after nuking there last city down to size 1 (Chicago) and I left them with only the size 1 city of Chicago. This was accomplished in about a dozen turns. On the Asian front, I simply strengthed my defenses. For years the Mongols threw everything they had at me, while I built up myt forces for an invasion army. I had manufacturing and they did not, so my army was steadily growing closer to theres in might.
Anyways, the Mongols suffered hundreds of casualties. They threw everything they had at me from warriors, knights, musketeers, catupults, artillery, riflemen, and near the end of the war a few rush built armored units. They must have never disbanded a single unit. For all there losses, they captured only one size 3 city. I lost a total of 7 units, mostly spies. ( Due to low finances I could not incite revolts as I ussually do).
When my land invasion army had finally been completed, I put into action my plan. Howitzers, Armor, Helicopters, Stlth Bombers, through Russia and Asia Minor and battleships along the Southern Coast of India. After I had conquered a city, I fortified it with 1-3 Mech. Infantry and moved my offensive units to the next. This cycle would continue dozens of time.
Meanwhile, I issued a Massive army from America consisting of 7 full transports. 5 would attack the Asian Coast in a co-ordinated sneak attack and 2 would attack Aulstralia and later move reinforcements to the main battle if needed. I swiftly took city after city. Early in the war I destroyed there capitol, resulting in a Civil War. The Western Half of their empire was soon crushed despite having most of the military, mainly because it lacked any key cities (It had no wonders and a size 16 as its largest city). The Eastern Half of there Empire had most of the wealth and would survive slightly longer, but once I possessed there coastal cities(nasty coastal defenses), they put up little resistance. Despite the massiveness of this campaign, I lost few units due to the fact that there technology was inferior. Towards the end they tried to use Nukes on my cities, but all but the most recently captured had SDI defense units. In the end, I emerged overwhelmignly victorious. They lost at least 300 units. I lost 28.

Wow, all your stories have been great fun to read.

My favourite game of civ would have to be a LAN of 4 people. We were playing a random map and just my luck I was the one stranded on a continent by myself and the other 3 people on the other continent witch was about 4X larger than mine. There were a few scattered islands ect. about but only 2 continents. anyways one civ, (whos player is a very seasoned civ fanatic) manages to become the most powerful civ and secures all the southern half of the continent and forces the two other players to the north of the continent. The two small players managed to occupy a few little islands before the superpower civ called the Al Quida broke into war with them. this was in the reno period. Anyways i came to there aid by sending 9 galleons packed with musketters and dragoons. We pushed him back a few citys before we all signed a peace treaty and i ceaded control of the newly claimed citys to the germans and americans.

A peace time lasted till modern times, in that time my allies the americans ( i was russian) had grown economicaly and my allies the germans had tried to build up some kind of military power. We had all agreed to a treaty that allowed every country to construct a maximum of 5 nukes and no more, nobody wanted the usage of nukes.

The war began as I the second largest civ( dwarfed by the size of al quida to 48 citys to 102) was patrolling my coast when my AGIES crussier found 12 subs lined in a row packed with nukes! I imediately activated my fleet and dispatched them to intersept the subs while my airforce began the task of destroying them. There heaps of subs and i managed to eliminate 3/4 of there number, later i had found out that 48 nuke subs had been dispatched to cripple my millitary, efective because i did not expect nuclear war. The ones that left had managed to loose there nukes but only hit my minor citys, exept for St Petersburg but i had all my fleet positioned within those citys. Without anyway to send re enforcments to support my allies, germany and america were left to hold the lines before i could find a new way to send over my russian armoured devisions.

This concludes the first instalment of my favourite round of civ 2, will conclude it later! :goodjob:

I'm back!

Well anyway its time to conclude my story.

With my fleet desecrated (all bet 3 destroyers and 4 AGIES crussiers left) and no way of crossing the ocean, my allies were left to fight the war by them selves. With the Al Quida having broken the nuklear arms agreement America and Germany were quick to use the few nukes in there possesion against the Al Quida. This did little to slow the attack though and soon thousands of religious fanatics were swarming over the DMZ and attacking the fortress borders of Germany and America. America lasted a few rounds before being forced back to his island cities. This was partly my fault because i requested half of his money to rush buy a new transport fleet. Germany was putting up a fight though, holding down his border to the south and defending from invasion from the west where America once stood. I think it was about twelve or so turns later when my fleet finally arived with re enforcments. By this time Al Quida, lead by the infamous Osama BENjarmin had slowly grinded its way towards Berlin! The Germans close to defeat, gave a great cheer from the other room as russian armour unloaded into the vacant fortresses along the eastern coast. After intence waring and the slow reclaimation of germanys lost citys we pushed forward to the core of the Al Quida. With little more than ten citys left under Al Quida control there capital of jerusilem was besieged by the combined arms of russian and german troops. Heavy artillery fire from the 3rd russian artillery devision (consisting of 23 remaining howiltzers) and the german liberation army's 12 riflemen regiments brought the city under German Control, While Osama BENjarmin lost control of his temper. After Osama aparently Died defending his capital we all resigned and agreed that trying to take on everyone is not a smart idea.

THE END
hope you enjoyed it, it was sertainly the biggest war I had ever had on civ 2

Mine was a few days ago. I was playing as the Greeks on EuroAmerica map.

My lands were in the Balkans, Eastern Europe, and the european Russia
The Sioux lived in asian Russia and Asia.
The Chinese lived in North America.
The Romans lived in Italy.
The Spanish lived in Western Europe and British Islands.
The babylonians lived in Middle East and North Africa.

Everybody had Cavalry units and Riflemen. The Spanish had the first airplanes. I was in Communism and the other civs had Republics or Monarchys.

Well... the Spanish made an alliance with the Romans and Chinese. The Romans were allied with the babylonians. And the Sioux were allied with the Spanish and Babylonians.

Then the Spanish attacked me. They had the first Armors in the game, but soon I discovered Mobile Warfare and built some of those units. When I counter-attacked, the entire world declared war on me.

In the beginning, I lost the entire territory of Poland, failed to attack the british islands, and suffered a huge defeat while trying to dominate the situation in Asia.

The war in Europe was going badly. No one took any city: The Spanish and I just fought until total destruction of the cities. The entire lands of France went out of towns - 7 cities were burned to the ground.

In Asia, things started to change when I broke the Babylonian defenses. As soon as Babylon fell, rebellion in babylonians became cheap. Then i just sent some diplomats and took all the babylonian empire. When they were mopped back to Africa, they signed peace, and paid tribute.

At that same time, the Sioux bankrupted and started to have some difficulty to wage war. I realized they had no units nor money to attack me seriously. Then I just sent all my armies to Europe. The Spanish started to go weaker.

The Romans started the war with great advances, but soon I took Italy completely, leaving them with only one small town in Sicily Island. Peace signed, almost at the same time as the babylonians.

The Spanish lost their Roman allies, and I could concentrate on attacking them on real-world France.

I took 3 Spanish cities in a huge all-europe-front attack. The Spanish signed a cease fire. And I sent the huge forces I had in Europe back to Asia. The Sioux were overpowered and dominated. I left them with one town in Siberia.

It was a miracle. Surviving this war seemed impossible in the beginning. But I just went on fighting on several fronts at the same time, and concentrating my troops wherever there was danger of suffering unreversable loses of cities and land.

Later the Spanish re-declared war on me. By that time, the Sioux wer still resisting with their last major troops and cities. I just splitted the Asian forces in two and sent one half to Europe.

The Spanish took some 2 cities back. Fortunately, the Sioux surrendered when this happened. I was winning in Asia, and losing in Europe. But now, I had no reason to send troops to Asia anymore. I just sent all my troops to the Spanish front.

Slowly, my armies pushed the spanish ones all the way through Europe. Then I reached the Atlantic Coast of Portugal. The Spanish had been expelled from the continent. I disembarked a few troops in England and took 2 Spanish cities. But I left them alive, by having mercy of one sole city in Ireland.

With my new lands reorganized, I colonized Iceland, Canada and Greenland.

The Chinese decided to continue at war against me. They were a Republic in real-world USA. I had a Communism in real-world Europe, Asia and Middle East.

After several vicious sea battles, the Chinese destroyed my cities in Canada and Greenland. But were unable to invade Iceland. The war started to lose it´s momentum, and now, things are this way:

The Spanish live in a town in Ireland.
The Sioux live in a town in Siberia.
The babylonians live in two towns in Africa.
I rule over Europe, Asia, Middle East, Scandinavia and Iceland.
The Chinese rule over USA and Mexico.
Greenland and Canada remain uninhabited, as a "safety zone" between the two major world powers.

There´s sort of a Cold War going on in this game. But the difference between the opponents is clear: I became Fundy. I have 2x the Chinese population, and 1,5X the land. I have 3X their manufacturing, and 4X GDP. I have 2X more military units than them.

But the cold war goes on, as I just can´t manage to cross the sea safely, and they can not invade Europe because I sink all of their Transports while in high seas.

Well, my best was when I had 1 city (first game btw), Rome, and declared war on the Greeks. Bad idea. I had Knight when they brought out their nukes. Well, I put a settler on a galleon and we went to an uninhabited area. The only one left. Built Veii and it stayed there till time ran out. Very interesting.

I played a world map game, and with limited resources and a small navy, launched an invasion on the Aztecs to capture north america. despite their entire army being on R&R tracks covering every square, I easily took it in a matter of turns.

Of course, my most difficult success came right after that when I had to invade the Germans in South America and had to send the majority of my army through Panama, and slowly fight my way across the untamed landscape of the Amazon until I had finally taken the well fortressed cities there, later having to take what seemed like Masada, when I invaded the also German Australia.

but yeah, that was a great war.
