I think it's at marathon or Epic game speed (look at turn # and date) and I guess him (Shaka) is at war with the Danes (Harold) and he expected flowers I guess.

What's worse than this is when you wander a civilian unit (like a Prophet) into a huge group of AI units and it gets stuck between the units for dozens of turns.
