I like Agr/Com, although Ind comes in at a close 3rd for the 2nd trait. Agricultural is like the Industrial trait of previous Civ3 itterations. I also like commercial because of the increased OCN, and the fact that I can get twice as much income as normal civs by the middle ages.

Can anyone say: YES or NO?

YES. Started a couple of games with the Hittites recently (only to decide the 3MC is horrible on the higher levels), and I got one or two Settlers everytime.

Agricultural and Scientific, hooray for Sumeria!

Well, then Expansionist Civs would get SETTLERS/CITIES at DEITY. Non-Exp not.

On a recent Deity game as the Arabs, I popped a settler on turn two. I moved the settler one space, so on turn three I had a second city that was in a better spot than my first. That was the easiest Deity game I ever played. Even if you don't get anything from huts, scouts are good for meeting other civs quickly which helps a lot in early tech trading.

All the traits are good, but I voted religious and militaristic. Religious just makes me happy as a builder (lots of culture and population), and militaristic for when I want to fight (cheap barracks let me field veterans ASAP, and more promotions = more armies).

Commercial and scientific. I only like these traits if they work together. (in other words Greece) They work really well together, because you can get more money from commercial to use for science and the scientific trait increases the rate at which scientific buildings are complete.

Even with being toned-down in 3C3, I still think Industrius is one of the best traits. Early infrastructure improvements allow you to turn your cities into settler factories that much sooner, as well as give you an edge in the production arena.

My second trait was a little more difficult to pick, and it could have gone several ways. I chose Commercial largely because of its reduced corruption. With this the extra gpt seems like a nice extra bonus. If you can hang in there until the mid to late middle ages, commercial kicks in and you can become whatever you want to be.

Agricultural for me - having poppulation means money, workers, cities = huge military. Cheap aqueduct has HUGE impact also, not having in mind food bonus and usefull desert. Second I still consider militaristic. The more armies in erly game, the more conquered land, the more more etc.... On MGL can bring u with not time factory, which can bring u tons on military units, saving u lets say 10-12 turns in capital and having fatory = 5- 6 cavalries, which is huge difference. Also having one more hit point units so often strong - 20 % more chances to survive, less need to produce. Results are cumulative. Not to mention how my heart goes into my throut when "A Great event for .... has produced great leader..." text appears :) :) :)

P.S. I found russians great combo - beside other traits, Cossacks blitz abillity makes them in fact militaristic

For buliders : Agricultular and Industrious - Voted
For Conquerors : Militaristic and Comercial

I come to the conclusion: Deo is more of a builder type! :)

I do not know what I am, I think more of a builder, too.

Seafaring- getting those early contacts is very important, especially in C3C- the AI is crippled exploration-wise, so you can have a trade monopoly with huge advantages also, cheap Harbours rock:D.
Commercial- I build huge empires, so corruption is very, very important, the money is nice too;).

My favorite traits are seafaring and scientific. I love the Byzantines :) But I also love commercial. If this would have been a strongest trait poll, I'd name agricultural of course.
I'm totally with you on this :)

I like agricultural and industrious (the MAYA). Not only do ihav the ability to crank out settlers but my workers can attach the cities with roads much faster.

So hard to choose. I guess I like Agricultural/Seafaring (Dutch) or Agricultural/Industrious (Mayans). I vote Agr/Sea

Agricultural is easily the best trait (so it's also my favourite :) )
Tied for second are Scientific/Industrious/Commercial, with a slight preference for Scientific....

A question: Seafaring civs like England have a 25% chance that their galleys sink in sea and Ocean yes?

yes, that is the case

Ag & Sci. So why I've never actually played a game as Sumeria is beyond me.

Neil.

I'm not the original kind of guy so: agri and religious. those are my favourites but scientific can go as well. I just want to have at least one cheap cultural improvement. And agri because it is overpowered and gives a huge advantage.

BTW the number of votes is currently 103 not an even number as it should be so someone messed it all up

Read my post on second page  :D You're also the one who didn't read the posts first, ... clear now? :D

Edit: I would like to add for Religious the main reason why is that good for me: Easy switch from Gouverment to Gouverment in one turn with not much trouble, important in war specialy, but in peace as well...
