If Scotland is in.. I'll be playing Scotland for awhile.. probably see release of Civ 7 by the time I even look at another Civ.

Just hope they fix alert.

Scotland
Emperor
Marathon
Huge
8 ai civs
8 city states.
Hot, Wet, 5 million years.

I never persue victory conditions until near endgame. Then I go for most likely.

Pangea Map, 6 Mongolias, Domination Only

hehe, I like reading some of your all suggestions, it gives me ideas. I might be tempted to try something like this, but I have a feeling I'd be disappointed by the AI. I saw the recent livestream, and Mongolia wasn't very aggressive from what I seen. I love this game, but the AI agendas are all out of whack, I miss the days of aggressive Mongolia. I still may be tempted to try this type of game, but I have a feeling they won't fulfill my wishes of being gang banged by 6 Mongolias very well. It's a shame they can't program them to always be at war (just take away war weariness like they did with Macedonia).

I always play chronological by leader, so Chandragupta and then Seondoek.

Wouldn't that be alphabetical order?

My first try will be:

Civilization: Mongolia
Difficulty: King
Speed: Epic
Map: Pangäa
Size: Normal
Other Civs: Random
First Governor: Amani

I try to conquer the world. Amani should help me to save a city state as save tradepartner.

No idea yet. I'll need to see all the new civs and spend some time looking at all the R&F changes to decide what strategies I want to try out.

I always plan my games around a strategy I want to play - then pick a civ that fits.

I'll eventually play all the new civs and get all the achievements -- too ocd to do otherwise!

I am excited to be able to try a one city challenge -- it looks like R&F will make it easier (its pretty darn impossible on the harder levels currently). But that won't be right away.

Civilization: Korea
Difficulty: Prince
Speed: Standard
Map: pangea
Size: Normal
Other Civs: The seven remaining new civs
Victory pursued: science

Play with only 3 cities and try to win a science victory

I will however declare and see how the new causic belli warmonger system will work out

I must play as the Cree before they get banned in Canada!

Difficulty: Prince
Speed: Standard
Map: Continents
Size: Large/Huge (I want to see how useful trader land grabbing is across large territories)

First governor: Depends on the situation

Civ:
Spoiler :

image005.jpg

I couldn't resist, I live near Amsterdam so that image of her is almost a weekly sight for me

Difficulty: Deity: with what I've seen so far in the dev streams the AI has if anything only gotten worse:rolleyes:, I think I'm up for the challenge, even though I barely even know the new mechanics)
Speed: Standard
Map: Continents
Size: Small (I don't like the bigger maps where all you do is Simcity till you win, war is the spice of life:ar15:)

I'm actually considering Mongols for my first game. Honestly, I can't decide. I may have to flip a coin on release day. No civ really stands out. Not to say all the new civs are terrible, it's just none of them offer any truly unique gameplay. Crushing the world under my horde sounds pretty fun right now. Watch I start without horses. Horses aren't needed for Keshiks, but since they are ranged, you still need horses for horsemen. If I start without horses, it's a restart.

Just make sure all your AI opponents are Scythia, and you'll be okay.

Cree
Emperor
Science Victory
Continents
Huge map

I'm a simple man, all I want to do is a double scout start like I used to do in Civ V. No scout rush, nothing fancy, just two scouts instead of going for Slinger... I might do a third scout if I get greedy. I like scouts, scouts are cool, they have a dog...

Sorry I missed your post at first, place a @ in front of my name and it alerts me.

Last patch for example the goody hut popping changed amd I thought is was odd and finally found they had changed the xml for goody huts. Scanning through them for little changes can help everyone come up to speed with the new patch.

Sorry for bad paint meme....

I really haven't worked it out in such detail, but based on the information released so far, I am most eager to try out the Cree. I usually play on King and Epic speed. Chances are I'll choose a Normal size map, type Continents, with High Sea Level.

For me, I may randomly chose a new one, or get my wife or son to chose, or let the game decide, and restart if its a Vanilla/DLC.
I tend to play continents, but may change. Currently playing Norway on Island map. Run into Ghandi, Victoria, Alexander, Cyrus, plus 1 undiscovered (I think its Suleiman, as I missed a religion, by turn 45)

I don't play civ so often that i play all the civs (unfortunately), but i'm guessing i will play definitely Netherlands and Mapuche. I also have to play some vanilla and DLC civs still. Might try France and Egypt. Also want to play Poland, Spain, and i have to finish a game with the Russians and the Japanese yet. And when i try to play on Deity, i will have to play as a God Tier civ. And i'll try Aztecs and Sumeria as well. Maybe Nubia, Khmer and Australia too (or all the DLC civs actually since they're designed in a cool way). The civ that i will save for the last (or more likely never will play as) is probably Norway.

But from the DLC
Mapuche > Netherlands > Cree > Korea > Georgia > Scotland > Mongols > India second leader > Zulu?

Mongols will certainly be nice to play against too, but less to play as them. Zulu and Chandragupta might be similar in experience to them. Scotland and Georgia are also fun to have around as AI civs (because of the more likely to like you when you're next to them and the defensive attitude of Georgia making them hard to conquer, and since i often build walls, Tamar will like me.

First playtrough to check things around will probably be Egypt or France on a lower difficulty (i want to build more wonders), and their abilities are updated. Then i will probably play as Mapuche or Netherlands.

Rome, trying to get a golden age in the classical era, go for a conquest spree, and try to survive the fall in the dark age :)

I will be playing Scotland and bringing some scottish enlightenment to everyone by paving the world in glorious golf courses.
And if you lose, you're justified in rage quiting and kicking your stool. :p

I'm still going Scotland for an imperial bagpipes game. Colonize eastern Canada and Iceland, Ireland. Try to be friends with England.

Then Georgia and some crusades. Absolutely punish Cyrus. Make an effort to spread my religion.

And Cree to just chill, lots of foreign trade routes.

France for a spy game.

Then back to my Mother Russia just to remind the ai who the big boy on the street is.
