The Corvid
The modern Corvids are a radically religious species with numerous sects co-exist at a level of peace with the occasional skirmishes. While most sects believe that they were created in the heavens by the 5 Divines and placed onto their world, some of the more radical and heretical sects believe that the 5 Divines personally sailed their vessel onto the world where they became mortals and died or even that the 5 Divines were giants from another planet that carried the Corvid's from another world in a metallic skyship, despite offers from the Holy City to examine the supposed bones of the divines being outright denied or that the supposed Ruins of Endeavor are too deep within the Kal'Dexx Desert to study in any depth.

Rezzars

The Rezzars are a peaceful race of creatures. They live anywhere from dense forest to open plains, yet stay far from places where no vegetation lay. They also tend to avoid water, yet they have the ability to swim, if the situation arises. Despite their initial cuteness, they are known to be ferocious fighters when protecting their young, and their living space in general.

Edit: Can I get a sticky on how to do these posts please? Cut and pasting from the Sporepedia isn't working for me.

EDIT: Yes Chieftess is correct, it doesn't work with IE (see first example). It does work with Firefox. Probably some kind of security / plugin issue (Adobe Flashplayer was a required download for it to work with Firefox). I'll have to see if I just lack that plugin for IE.

Brahmoonster
DOB: 6/21/2008

Brahmoonster is an example of bipedal convergence in bovine species. Yet she is also an example of how terrible creatures can be innately social creatures. Thanks in part to their large array of udders, brahmoonsters have maximum socialization skills. Thanks to their other social graces, they do not perform public feedings of their young. Toadening feet, haunchfaces, monstrumtalon hands, and pom poms are critical to making Brahmoonsters utterly charming (Babytalk, not required).

If you aren't already, try using Firefox. I've had problems using IE.

Also, it would be useful if everyone put a url around the image. i.e.:

Just downloaded will e posting soon.

SpyderMighte

DOB: 7/18/2008

Inspired by a reference photograph of a velvet mite, http://www.cirrusimage.com/Arachnid_velvet_mite.htm, this is my grossly most popular creature to date having also done so at a meteoric rate. There's no accounting for taste.

Bowsertops

Was my most popular critter ever before SpyderMighte. Inspired by video games in general.

NorthClaw

Inspired by Dougal Dixon's work in the book, The New Dinosaurs. A fictional northern plains dinosaur, of the science fictional premise that the dinosaurs hadn't gone extinct. Basically, it's very furry.

Needs no introduction! This species is world famous on the intrenets

Ranckor

My take of a nasty pit beast from Episode V of something or other , only diverged to a cute social hominid, but retaining its fighting skills. One of my sub-species with different textures was my most popular creature for a good while.

EDIT: Ok enough SPAM from me.

Cool stuff guys :D

I've made roughly fifty creatures, but I just had to show this one off in this board;

The Mind Worm Boil:
500009659083.png

The mind worm is one of the most memorable creatures in gaming history, in this case the amazing game 'Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri'. The game's manual describes the mind worms as follows: "a mind worm is a horrid-looking little parasitic carnivore about 10 cm long. A single mind worm is a dangerous pest, able to burrow into a human brain and devour it, while the victim succumbs to violent delusions or dangerous fantasies, or lives out his deepest terrors. Many theories have been advanced to explain the psychoactive nature of these attacks but none have been experimentally validated. Far worse than a single worm, mind worms are known to form vast mobile colonies, called "boils", which can overwhelm a military unit or a whole human base". I hope you appreciate this humble attempt to recreate these memorable creatures!
