to 2- Sorry this NES isn't terribly high quality, it's my first and I hope that it improves as my time commitment and experience raises.

Why not spend 5 minutes formatting your update? Use of bolding, centring etc.

Also, give a bit more character. Rather than simply "peaceful expansion" how? Over what terrain etc etc. The more vivid you paint the picture the better the update becomes

Post a few 'spotlight' battles? Battle for Thebes? (north of Athens). Defence of the Oracle? (across the gulf) Not to mention BATTLE FOR ... .. ... (wow, a place name so bad its banned. )

I think he does that, more or less, with the extra detail in some nation's/area's happenings. For example, this update he focused on Japan/SE Asia and Greece.

The lack of support sent to Tune in this great war is concerning.

We have been looking at the terms that were placed upon Tunis and thinking about making them less harsh however it is clear that Tunis has no intention of assisting Tune. As such the current terms will remain as they are until Tunis can be truly trusted.

To the Berbers we thank you for your support against the Etruscans. The war will soon turn to our favour and the Berbers will be greatly rewarded for their support.

Phoenicia offered it's support against the Etruscans yet no assistance was sent. Tune was more than willing to send arms, supplies and men to defend Phoenicia but Phoenicia was unwilling to do the same to us. Our armies in Phoenicia will be withdrawing back into Tune to help crush the Etruscans. The flow of Supplies and Arms may continue but the Supremo may halt these shipments at any time.
