COVID - A light on the horizon?

Third consecutive day of protests against the ridiculous decision to close down schools but keep ‘essential’ activities such as professional sports football tournaments going.
Also the government, headed by its ‘president’, blames medical and teaching staff for catching the dreaded disease.
Basically, everybody is rushing to request injunctions and other precautionary measures for classes to continue. In some places, school headmasters and restaurant owners are saying that they will open anyway and some provinces are already refusing to apply what is in any case an unconstitutional decree by the central executive.

It is very sad to see somebody visibly disintegrate before our eyes even as we speak; both for their own sakes and those of the people they misrule this entire government should be removed from office.
 
The central misgovernment here officially states that, since schools opened, 1.03% of school staff and 0.16% of students got infected with coronavirus. However, there also was a rise in cases outside the school environment, which, in their view, means that schools are to blame, rather than it simply being hundreds of thousands of people returning home from their summer holidays, or cinemas, theatres and shopping malls opening, or the government actively rejecting vaccine deals with evil Westerners in order to get closer to a Russia and China which have largely failed to deliver the doses promised, thus nullifying the vaccination plan. But correlation and causation are the same thing.
Also, religious ceremonies and gatherings of all types are now banned, even if they always observe the required ‘protocols’ –to which this poster, a regular churchgoer, can testify– and cannot be shown to have helped spread anything.
The health minister -who, in passing, doesn't know when the vaccines are supposed to arrive- and the education minister have both stated that schools are not the source of the spread. The latter has attempted to resign once already since Wednesday.
Of course, it ended today with the ‘president’ ranting against ‘rebels’ and so on. All he's doing is hand the opposition a series of moral high grounds on which to run their election campaign. Assuming the elections are actually held. :crazyeye:

The press is beginning to call them amateur virologists. I think that's too lenient a title.

To add injury to insult, Uruguay has managed to at least book 3 million doses of vaccines (almost its entire population) precisely because of Argentinistan's refusal to acquire evil western vaccines… after the latter country provided several thousand volunteers for tests.
 
pfizer leads the thing only because of the Turkishness involved , but at least it avoids blood clotting or whatever for the moment .
 
oh , ı was talking about the Biontech stuff . Are you an opponent of vaccines because a Turkish couple was the first and actually given some big medals by the German Goverment , or does it also involve other races ? Considering there is really a lot to be angry about the whole affair in other things as well ...

Isn't Germany giving stuff to Turkey sort of like one hand congratulating the other hand?
 
or is it transplanting Turkish with something else that Germany is secretly run by Turks "others" ?
 
Sadly we are offtopic (obviously due to myself). I am not saying "Germany is run by Turkey". Germany has no army (due to doing its german stuff), and it is useful to be tied to someone who does (and has a large minority there too).

The Canadian Medical Association has come out with a brilliant plan to take vaccines away from Nova Scotia (because of our successful management of the pandemic) and redistribute them to other "more needy" provinces, like Ontario whose Premier has consistently and thoroughly mismanaged the situation. They are throwing away doses because they can't get them into arms fast enough, and they want more? The current model of vaccine distribution is based on proportion of population, and that is how it should be.

This will be a real problem for the Liberal government as Ontario and Quebec are where all of the votes lie for them to be re-elected. Nova Scotia is a small province with a population less than a million, but voted overwhelmingly Liberal in the last election. The Liberals lose either way, but the bigger loss is the votes in Ontario and Quebec if they don't cave and take away our vaccines. Thanks CMA. You have singlehandedly handed the @#%$^$% Conservative party of Canada an overwhelming victory in the next election.

Goodbye any recognition of climate change, hello muzzling of scientists, and those of you who enjoy recreational cannabis can kiss that goodbye as well.

I guess it will be good to live in Ireland again...
