  • I think Asperger's is spreading! It's a plague, I tell you, a plague of eccentricity, individuality and sparkling intellect! :D
To your first point "Its in violation of the law" isn't a good argument, even though I know you don't agree with it, but that's not an excuse at all. What if it violated their law to be Christian at all? Would you defend that as "Their law"? I think not. Spreading the gospel is COMMANDED by our religion, taking our right to do that IS taking away our right to practice religion freely.

Your second point is better. However, it is still flawed, since torture of those of other faiths is common in these countries. Ditto for commie-based dictatorships...
It would be stuff like calling for all Christians to rise up and overthrow the heathen Caliph, supporting the enemy, or lots of stuff. It really varied from leader to leader.

It is telling though that the Monophysite Christians felt more loyalty toward the Muslim Caliphs then the Orthodox Basilius!

That might not be unfair, but in most cases, mere proselyting will get you tortured nowadays.
I'm not actually all that good on random European monarchs; I just tend to know the disgusting factoids, such as the various deaths of the Spanish Habsburgs and so on. I'm much better on British monarchs. :)
well see, i imagine the Republic to me a major power, but they tend to be indifferent to the world at large. they are quite militant, and aren't afraid to use it if its necessary.

essentially, be somewhat kind but indifferent, and take no nonsense from anyone.
sounds like you are a little *too* into Byzantium. i should tell you that i am currently obsessed with the Mathalamus Republic.
Well, admittedly, Khufu, Djoser and Menkaure just weren't as interesting as Ramses II, it certainly must be said. :D
The Pyramids were built around about the 26th Century BC. Ramses the Great lived during the 13th Century BC. :)
Anyway I thought you'd be pretty good at this stuff and possibly interested in it due to your good historical knowledge base
Oh, I had thought that you were one of the IOTers. tk, civgeneral, choxorn, tanicius, that group. Text-based strategy game, kinda like a MUD. You control a country and order it around. More free-form than most strategy video games. Also can be dependent on stories you write about the people in your countries (depends on the rules).
