Basic look Is roughly based on India body type. most have black hair. males wear it shoulder length, females as long as they can grow it. typically wear thick clothing suited for cold weather, with preference for leather. The rich and/or well respected might wear a Morthlin hide piece of clothing (which is noted for being very warm and having course hair), but they only harvest and create this when a Morthlin wills a portion of their hide to that person after their death, or it is passed down in the family. very strong Taboo for hunting Morthlin.
deer hide is the preferred leather type, with Wolf-hide coming in a close second among the warriors.

Why do battering rams and catapults cost so much gold?

Just how many of the soldiers in the armies have to tend to farms in the spring and summer? As in, are only peasants asking to be returned to their farms, or is the majority of my army made up of rural folk? I would imagine for example that mounted knights/warriors would not need to physically tend to their farms if the army needed them more since they wouldn't be the ones in the fields in the first place and already have somebody tending their estates while they are away.
