  • Oh! Hehe, naw I can get it fine from amazon. It's not expensive unless I eat stupid amounts. In fact, it's a 'prime' item, which means I get free two day shipping with my prime membership. Thank you, though, for the offer, but I'm good.
Uh... er, yeah. I'm kind of a freak about hygeine, actually. A bit confused as to why you asked, but you're Australian, so I'll just write it off to that! :D I still have a second 220g jar, and I've already ordered another double pack of them, so I'll have plenty, but I probably do need to reduce my intake. Maybe one slice a day... It's the evening snacks, I think, that are actually doing me in.
Regarding the rationing, that's going into effect immediately. In the two weeks since I first tried it, I finished off the 125g jar that you sent me, the 125g jar of marmite that I tried at Mars' suggestion (sticking w/vegemite, it's better) and a 220g jar I ordered off amazon. So 470g =1.03 lb of vegemite/marmite in 2 weeks...
Sorry for delayed response, been laid up with *something* for the last 24 hours. Friggin' colds...
Anyway, yeah. I'm gonna have to ration myself, though, else it'll become a VERY expensive habit :D

I am actually putting more on than in the video as my norm. I take it it's too much based on a couple of comments, but that's how I like it. As long as there is plenty of butter below, it's good to go.
so the camera is alive!! that is great news. even if it is going slowly haha.
thanks! I actually logged in thanks to the "ask a philosopher" thread when you wrote "I'll take it from here". I was gonna respond with ":lol: " but then I didn't :p
Beautiful pics, man! Love that the first was of dog. Lacking snow, but you seem to be more a sun and surf guy so I'll let that slide. :D
Heh, when I was in the service many many years (and pounds of flesh) ago, I made a couple of forays into border towns of Mexico. No way in hell I would do that NOW, but it was quite the experience at the time.
Mars (Zelig) is pressuring me to try Marmite, which he seems to think I will prefer over vegemite, so I've sort of started this tug of war of ex-British colonials.

Regarding the traveling thing, it's just that if I ever take a vacation, I have no interest in seeing people and instead just want to see nature. And to be brutally honest, there isn't a single environment that I would want to see that doesn't exist in America, so I see no need at all to travel abroad to satisfy my needs. That said, there -are- a couple of places I dearly want to visit before I die. The mother country being top on that list. Desperately want to visit the UK, see the bloody Tower, visit the highlands, etc.
So it's 5:17am (woke up about an hour early today) and I'm sitting here chomping on a couple pieces of buttered toast w/vegemite. I've already ordered more from Amazon and intend to make it part of my morning routine on most days. Love this stuff on toast! Also, I found a great way to sort of describe it on a marmite site... It's like what a cube of bullion might taste like if spread on toast!
Yeah, sorry, I left that one to mull it over, trying to think of an answer that makes sense without turning into an essay. Almost there, probably.
I don't really know. A few weeks ago I was really busy so I stopped posting and visited only occasionally. Once in a while I take a look at the topics available and almost nothing interests me. And much of what I read makes me sick because it's just so idiotic.

Maybe the pause weakened my necessary resistance to all the vitriol. Maybe it's also the current political climate in the US seeping into the behavior of everyone. I don't know. I just can't stand it at the moment.

Also, it's summer now (here on the northern hemisphere at least), and I have better things to do.

But it's very nice to hear that I've been missed! I hadn't thought that anyone noticed :)
Hah! Now I really cannot wait to try it! I'll keep telling myself "it's just Aussie peanut butter..." as I chew.
Yeah, it was really more of an excuse to get myself to stop posting in OT more than anything. I totally wasted the money, anyways. I was looking for cheap books on Amazon, and bought some random $4 sci-fi novel... and then discovered it was a sequel, so I haven't opened it. I'm kicking myself for not just buying music.
