    And yeah, when it comes time to brainstorm for the next Epochs I'll gladly ask for yours and everyone's help.

    Epoch II will be the 'creature design' phase where players will be putting down notable fauna & flora, sentient species, space monsters, and 'artifacts' of long-gone races.

    The 'halo's (atmosphere's, really) is just me applying an 'outer glow' via layer styles.

    Everything that makes the symbols the symbols can be found in the layer styles, really. Pattern overlay to get the patterned look of the planets and a an outer glow that is a corresponding color to the planet type (i.e. Purple for Jovian, Red for Uninhabitable, Yellow for Somewhat Habitable, Green for Habitable, Blue for Gaiain).

    Alright, found the textures at least (the planets are just varying sizes of circles and the stars are just stars, easy enough brushes to find, really).

    Well the symbols and such are a combination of various photoshop brushes I have found on the internet, various seamless patterns I have found, and me tinkering around with my layers.

    1) However you want. You have to simply fill the stuff in your statblock with your hoped-for stats, of course, but having a story about tribal people taking a new direction can also work.
    Look on the front page and up to about update 2. There are alot of civilization-establishing stories there.

    2) Damn, I mistook Arya for you because she made Tambien her archvillan. :p

    1) It's fine. Nice to see that its not "Aztexas" or "Mexicali" :).
    2) Realpolitik is awesome, but I don't know (or really want to) get into it. Nontheless, I've seen you NES before and it has given me expectations. :D

    I put alot of effort into research, believable NPCs and such. If you want to go there, at least make it as awesome as your Real Politik games. :). On the otherhand, I would feel no compulsion to force quality if you can hook another friend over as well.

    See China and India, pretty isolated, but I decided its worth keeping.

    Well, 2/5 of our members our NPCs who have been determined to not care, and 2/5 others support support your joining, so it's Just Red we have to worry about, and I don't expect he will mind.

    Pretty Much neutral. We haven't done anything to piss them off, and generally most of our members don't mind them. They have also been far more worried about their other enemies, so they've largely ignored us so far. Tanny is convinced it's about to go cold war though... :undecide:

    Its actually been on my mind recently, inspired by other NESes that are active at the moment - dont think I'll ever restart it as an evolution game, but I would like to make a tribal NES. The brainy crusty quadrupeds as the main sentient species, but maybe some other near-sentients.
