  • Ah well. Of course, although I ignore how can I help you. BTW, I'm already working on the map. the land is shaped, but features, terrain and resources have to be done.

It encompasses the Middle East, as in Levant, Arabia, Persia, part of Egypt and part of Turkey.
    Sure, I'll help.

Oh, and I'll be checking out Space Seed in detail in a little while. I'll probably be joining after I read all the rules.
Yeah I was meaning to comment on that. Currently though I am only procrastinating so I can't help ATM. If I were you i'd get together a prototype ruleset, or maybe even a framework, and then let them tear it apart. I'll be sure to add my thoughts to it.
They're rare "galactic menance" type beings and add to the supernatural element of the soft scifi setting. Also, they'll be fun to deal with in both Epoch III & IV (i.e. when players take on the roles of various factions having the space-eel that one of them created in the epoch II cause a bit of havoc will be interesting; or if some great guardian monster on a planet prevents evil spacefaring race 3 from enslaving another race and destroys enough of their tech for the planet-bound race to launch themselves into space... interesting!).

It all comes down to letting peoples' imaginations run wild, and space-monsters feature quite prominently in more than a few scifi worlds.
Nah, it's cool, really. I do not think you had any malicious intentions (that would be ridiculously paranoid of me) and, as someone else said, doing a similar NES in the IoT forums makes sense as it hosts a different crowd. Again, we're not in competition here!
Umm, I do not know what you're talking about...
However, creating your own galaxy would be pretty cool
It looks good, but I don't really have the time to manage another game at the moment with all the uni work I am doing (yay for uni work :p)
Oh I do! I love star wars and Aliens and all that. Before tCSoG I was designing a game that used the Final Frontier mod in Civ4. If you like space stuff have a look at this thread: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=457150

I think it has potential to turn into a nice discussion. Though it looks like I am the only one who believes in the private sector...
Wow that looks really complicated. I really hate jumping into the middle of already developed games. It does look fun though, so if there is a sequel I'll be sure to join (though you'll probably have to inform me when it starts otherwise I'll miss it).
I might be able to join, though I'm already involved too much.... what is it?
Actually I joined one once. I forget who was the GM but he quit pretty early. I doubt I would have done very good anyway.
Really it's what you join as, pretty much. Some minors have historically had more power than majors.
Major powers show up in each update. They have a special power and a wider range of options than minor nations. Minors are entirely NPCs, but Majors can be PC or NPC.
5% per turn for major countries, 6% per turn for agricultural countries, and 10% per turn for minor countries
