  • "We tentatively agree, for now. We did offer to purchase Finnish territories from your previous government but they shut us down cold. Presumably you will be more approachable if the situation should arise."
((I assume that I'm not miscounting and I am actually talking about three provinces?))

"The third territory we are seeking would be gifted in appreciation of our support in the EEC, no? We seek to unite our existing Finnish colony with our Scandinavian holdings by land as well as sea.

"Does Russia seek colonial land outside of Europe? The Empire has perhaps invested in far-flung islands for too long and seeks further continental holdings where possible."
"You will perhaps need to be more specific than that. Where does Russia wish to gain colonial land?

"Initially, we are interested in the three provinces to our east, linking the Barents to the Baltic. If we support (rather than oppose) your entry to the EEC, will that be sufficient without surrendering any land beyond that of St. Petersburg?"
"We have every intention of returning the St. Petersburg territories and we see no need to keep a peaceful European power out of the EEC.

"Which Finno-Russian territories are you prepared to cede to the Angevin Empire and what do you wish in return?"
2 attacks to capture into China, 3 to launch an invasion of somewhere near the Koreas. :)
    Invest rest into missile shield.
Huh? I said yes...well...I'd rather...Okay fine, how many points do I have after I launch the missile?
Yes. One small missile on the top of North Korea (where the two small and one big provinces are) to raise even more hell. :mwahah:
"What exactly is Novo Russia expecting? The St. Petersburg territories are part of the negotiations, but considering that your previous government was at war with the EEC, the Angevin Empire does expect you to be up front with what you expect from us in return."
He's your dad, Tanicius. A certain measure of parental fascism is to be expected :)

To Russia, as a gesture of good faith, we are prepared to return the land around St. Petersburg to the new Russian control. However, we wish to discuss the three most easterly Russian provinces that border the Angevin lands in Scandinavia, specifically the three that start along the Barents coast and stretch to the Baltic coast. This is former Scandinavian land and we wish to affirm and maintain the land of Cnut, Harald Bluetooth, Geoffrey of Acquitaine and others.

As a further statement of our good faith, we have no intentions whatsoever towards Asia or any part of mainland Russia.
That's what I meant, kind of, being all strict like fasci--nevermind.
And ouch. Luckily we haven't got enough dignity yet to not go outside.

Yes, I took Rome back in the discussion.
Well, to be fair, the Angevin Empire did try to claim Burgundy, but decided to settle Spain in a failed attempt to stop a naval invasion of Europe.

In the interests of friendship, we will return Poland to Alefurya, but ceding southern France to us would be an equally friendly gesture to an ally who has protected their lands for several years.
I'd like to receive Burgundy in return to go with my other traditionally Angevin possessions, but I intend to return most provinces to their original owners in Europe, yes.
Did I mention that I was interested in settling the western Finno-Russian coastline? I can't remember.
Well, I won't expect payment, but maybe I'll have a little extra collateral when we redraw the borders :)
