Adds the Escort Carrier unit to the game (CVE), aka the "jeep carrier" or "baby flattop" - or "Woolworth Carrier" in the Royal Navy.
This mod attempts to add more realism to the game by offering a variety of Carrier units. Historically, the Escort Carrier represents earlier versions of the Carrier, specifically the ships that were converted from older warships, even commercial ships - due to the lack of available flattops in the early days of WW2.
This new unit is able to carry 1 aircraft, more with additional promotions. It is available at the discovery of Flight (vice Electronics for the normal Carrier), and becomes obsolete at Nuclear Fission. They are slower than normal Carriers, and have less Combat Strength (25 vice 40).
As these boats were smaller in scale than normal carriers, and were often procured quickly by converting whatever hulls were available, they are much cheaper to purchase than other naval units in the game.

Use Escort Carriers early in the days of aviation. They are cheap to build, even cheaper to buy. With a few promotions, they can almost carry as many aircraft as the normal Carrier. They are a bit slower than those ships, but can be obtained quickly in an emergency or for theaters of war that have less priority.
