1.20 patch

I've noticed two things since I downloaded the 1.20 patch:

1. I no longer have the people offer to improve my palace, and no longer can view the palace. The F9 (isn't it F9?) key doesn't work anymore, and I do not have the Palace view button on the info box on the bottom right of the screen.

2. I no longer can look at the aerial view of a city. That was a real cool feature - I miss that one!

Why would they take this stuff out. I thought patches were only to fix bugs!!

Is there anyway for me to bring this back without removing / uninstalling the patch?

Are you playing one of the Scenarios or the Epic Game.

I have 1.22, never did load 1.20. In the Epic game palace and city view still work for the Epic game.

I know that the city view was removed for the Scenerios in Conquests, never was there since 1.00 of Conquests.

Here's a really stupid question...

I have 1.20 and hear lots of folks talking about 1.22.

I can't find it on the CIV3 sight, where do I get 1.22?


- oh, I had my people offer to improve my palace this morning. was playing as the maya on Emp with 1.20. I've never actually used the city view, so I can't say if that's there or not. Likely you're playing a "Conquest" or other player made scenario, they don't have palace or city view in either of those.

They are different sites. If one site is congested, try the other. It might not be as bad. It will have the same files, tho.
