Merry Christmas!! Haven't had time to play much lately because of school but this might convince me :)

56 Civilizations should be interesting to play with.

People constantly request the ability to play with more than 18 civs, so I made it possible. I don't recommend it though, it's guaranteed to cause endless MAFs. Rather than setting a new arbitrary limit, I just set it to match the number of civs available in HR so people can experiment and see what their system permits (within Civ4's 32bit limitations).

Immediately got an un-dismissable python error on trying to start a new game (18 civs on the earth map):

Also - had intended to start as Egypt - this doesn't look like the Egypt start location  Probably a result of the error?

Thank you very much, Xyth. It is a big christmas present!
But it's too bad I do not have much time to enjoy this new version now.(I am really looking forward to trying the improved FINANCIAL ADVISOR.) By the way, please overhaul INFO screen and STATISTICS screen in the next release. They are also pretty useful in gameplay.:newyear::xmassign::thumbsup:

I'm having the same problem as cel10 with the Earth Map (Mac). It looks like there's a problem with the starting positions file (possibly as a result of splitting it into separate versions for Mac and Windows?).

Also, the game seemed to take quite a long time to load. Is it packed?

This file will fix the Earth map on both Mac and Windows. Unzip and replace the file of the same name in /History Rewritten/Assets/Python/. I've re-uploaded 1.24.1 with this fix included, so this is just for those who've downloaded it prior to to the timestamp of this post.

It'll be the screen I work on next. I have some non-UI things I want to work on first though.

It is packed and only HR_Terrain.fpk has changed. Sometimes the first launch of a new version can take a while as BTS needs to rebuild its cache.

Hi Xyth, playing on a Mac and HR 1.24.1 I've faced this bugs:

-The Aztecs appear as Mexico in the Infoscreen
-The Incas appears as Tawantinsuyu in the Infoscreen
-The WAR CHARIOTS quest doesn't work properly, after reaching the conditions it happens nothing and the Quest is still shown
-A volcano-event related bug is shown in the screenshot attached

You can check all this bugs in my saved game.
Thanks!

On the topic of 32 bit memory limitations, are you aware of this tool? My experiences have been positive. It might not be enough for 56 civ maps, but you still might want to recommend it to people.

Will address this when I overhaul the Info Screen.

-The WAR CHARIOTS quest doesn't work properly, after reaching the conditions it happens nothing and the Quest is still shown

Will investigate.

-A volcano-event related bug is shown in the screenshot attached

Found the problem. It's harmless and only affects Mac. Will fix for next release.

I have a link to it in the Troubleshooting/FAQ thread. Doesn't work for my WINE installation of Windows BTS, but I think that's 32bit only. I'll must try it via virtualization sometime.

Playing on a Mac I'm still facing the AI producing more workboats than necessary. I think this behaviour is not as extreme as earlier versions, actually, I didn't noticed it until my current game. There's an AI civ with 4 cities which has 4 unusable workboats.

I wasn't able to solve the problem, but I was able to limit it. The AI will no longer build more workboats than there are unimproved resources in its waters, but pathfinding complications or border changes sometimes mean the workboats it has built aren't able to get to them. The important thing is that the AI is no longer wasting its production nearly as much as it was before.

In the attached saved game, some of my temples provides 1food, some others 1hammer, and some others both (food and production)... While, according to my tenets, they should produce only 1food.

Here come a bug and a copule of suggestions:

- In the attached game I accomplished the Elite Swordman Quest conditions (7 swordman + iron resource) and still the game doesn't recognizes it. Playing on a Mac. It could be related to the War Chariots Quest bug (wich I describred some posts ago).

-Is not the Jetavanaramaya Wonder requering too much hammers to be constructed? It costs almost the double of the rest of World Wonders of the same Era. I'm even not sure if is it worth too much hammers, since the effects it provides are not so great. At least it should be balanced to others wonders of the same era, I think.

-In all my games, once the Preservation Tenet is available, for me it has no competition with other tenets. It provides 2 faith for each wonder (even National wonders), and the other tenets available only 1 faith for crop, material, or luxury resource. At this time I always have more wonders (world+national) than resources of the same type. I imagine it depends on the map configuration, but I suspect it's general to everyone. Maybe it could make more sense to low the faith to 1, or keep it in 2 but only for world wonders (and not National).

Thanks!

At some point the production was meant to be removed from those temples but never was. Not sure why. I'll rework this code to be self-correcting.

Very likely related. On my todo list, not had time to investigate yet.

It's meant to cost 500:hammers:. Looks like I adjusted the cost in my notes but not in game.

Thought I'd lowered it to 1 faith already, apparently not!

There is a minor bug in the Victory Conditions screen; it lists the dominant religion in the world, but with local influence (here 0% since there is hardly hinduism in my territory).
Minor because the relgious advisor lists all religions with correct numbers.
