1 player enter 2 civs leave!

I feel like we need to track down who has the turn. It's been 10 days and no word from anyone.

I sent 1380 on august 10th at 12:27 am.

Does anyone have any other information?

Let us know if you are expecting to be too busy to play so we all know that there isn't anything wrong and we just have to wait.

Sorry i didn't see it. What kind of work do you do in London?… if you don't mind me asking. I produce Music Videos and Commercials in Hollywood and sometimes the clients are so demanding that I don't even have enough time to take a civ turn (and that always makes me sad). So I know what frantic work is like. I'm not making anything right now and all this free time might make my civ participation a little too intense so I apologize if i seem to nagging.

Ahhhhh coooool! My friend used to work for Activision. I have another friend that works for Harmonix, in fact if you play Guitar Hero 1… I made that live action beginning. That is the extent of my software house contacts.

Do you Produce, Program, or QC?

I just got the turn, will be playing tonight.

I received the turn fine and then Load Failed. I sent this to Tim;

I was so looking forward to this;
Game was good until it went to load the save, got the following,"The save file you have selected is protected to ensure that the assets in your mod folder have not changed." I click the OK and a sign pops up saying LOAD FAILED. Is there some mods you guys have in the game? I have V. 1.74.

You are using the latest patch but this PBEM is running the previous patch due to Tim being on a Mac which doesn't have 1.74 yet.

I am running a dual install (one on 1.74 and the other on the previous patch) so that I continue this game ... this is the only way you will be able to take part.

Give me a quick how to on the dual install as I can't not have the 1.74 due to other game commitments.
Thanks

It was easy for me to do as I copied and pasted my Civ folders to a different directory then patched the original folder to 1.74 ... dual install.

Slightly trickier for you as you have already patched your original folder.

Insert Civ disc and install BUT change the default directory to where you want it to be.

You then need to find the previous patch on the web (cannot help you there at the moment) and patch it to the same directory you just used ... dual install. This will allow you to open the save file for this PBEM.

Found it ... at Site Navigation above, select General, then Downloads Database. Click for Patches. At the bottom of the list you should find Civ 4 1.61 ... this is what you need to patch your new install with.

I will attempt to do it by installing on another computer as it recognizes that it is already installed on this one and asks if I want to remove it. Then I will copy/paste in another folder after installing the 1.61 already. I'll try but won't have time before tomorrow to do it all. If you find a replacement , you should look. I'll see what I can do in the mean time.:confused:

I failed with my older computer and will do the uninstall/reinstall set up with the 2 folders tomorrow night.
