1903-What flags were in use?

@Rufus-I've decided its easier to re-do flags rather than hunt down another version on CFC.

According to flagspot.net, the cross was just on the jack. But if its more recognizable with the cross, I'll change the flag

@Luddi: Flag shown is supposedly the old flag of the Kalmar Union. Think it was also used by the Scandinavism movement. I know its still used by white supremacists. But if you don't like it, no problem. I can re-do the flag.

But isn't that the Norwegian flag?

According to the link above, there was a Swedish & a Norwegian version. So which do I use? What would TLC & mrtn suggest?

Yes, it's the norwegian flag.

I don't know which version you should use, but Sweden is the largest country in scandinavia.

But the Scandinavian movement was still big long into the 19th century. Oh well, nevermind.

Could I just use that field in the upper left corner as the flag? Its the same in both the Norwegian & Swedish version.

2nd flag update is done. The current preview doesn't show the new Italian flag. But Scandinavia, Germany & Greece are done.

A couple of thoughts: still not happy with the BeNeLux flag. Abysinia & Bolivia are too similar. I may use a different Bolivian flag, even if its not historically accurate.

Japan's flag in 1903 is the same as it is today. It was adopted in 1868.

nice going. could you pack them all together or direct me to where i can find them when you finish? i can upload them w/ a revised/fixed version of my scenario when you're finished. btw, could you at least get AoI running on your computer? i have no probs on mine but i did notice a stinkin' typo today that i'll fix.

@Mobilize-The current flag was adopted around 1870, but it was just a naval flag. Was not a national symbol. Japan was still very much a monarchy & looked to the King as their political leader. I dunno, I think Shiro would agree with me, I remember him saying something very similar when he was working on the Meiji leaderhead.

Think I'll use the royal flag. France is represented in the Napoleonic Wars scenario by the flag of Napoleon's Imperial Guard, even though the national flag was the tri-colors.
