1939

Battle of Atlantics claimed its first victim: Canadian Early Cruiser Levis. Upon joining the fleet, Lévis was assigned to convoy escort duty in the Northwest Atlantic. Levis was part of the 19th Escort Group escorting convoy SC-44 when she was torpedoed at 0205 local time on 19 October 1939 ;) by U-74 under the command of Eitel-Friedrich Kentrat east of Cape Farewell at position 60°07′N 38°37′W. The explosion of the torpedo on the port side killed all but 2 of the ratings on the stokers' messdeck. Compartments up to the No. 2 bulkhead were flooded. The surviving crew abandoned ship to Mayflower except for a damage control party of 10 officers and ratings. Mayflower took Lévis under tow for approximately 12 hours, however No. 2 bulkhead was buckled and not watertight and the ship sank at 1710 local time later that day. 91 crew were rescued and 18 were killed as a result of the torpedo attack.

In another news: James Johnson whose plane was shot down defending London has recovered from his wounds and is now flying a brand new Supermarine Spitfire.

He meant Supermarine Spitfire. This is the same mod as Tora that you play, but using original European map of the scenario creators.

The main news about Russia are always about Joseph Vissarionovich. Looks like he beats Hitler as the main villan of the World by quite a large margin  Everybody is mad at you, bro :cooool:

Bloodiest week in the battle of Britain. James Johnson got shot down again -- but not before he downed two of my promoted fighters, one of them is supper expensive

As fighter wars become a pure battles of attrition German Bombers tried to sneak in and score some hits but were torched one by one... Strategy revision is pending. Things were somehow easier with AI,

He'll be back ...

... You'll need another strategy.

Human vs A.I. no contest :D

Great news from Axis! For the first time since the beginning of the war German bombers terrorized London! After bloody meat mincing among fighters German Heinkels stepped in! No more fresh water for Londoners! No more City Hall!

Also a wolfpack of German submarines boldly attacked Canadian convoy in Northern Atlantic. In the chaotic battle U-36 became the first Axis U-boat lost in the war :(. But her death was avenged by her sisters who sunk one Canadian Early Cruiser and one Destroyer.

Where?

Spoiler :
I am building so many you wont have ships to sink them all :p With no airlift policy -- good luck with passing even a single troop convoy across Atlantic. By the way, how all those troops got to Malta, you didn't airlift them by mistake, right?

One of the best quotes I read with this scenario was from USAF Manual: "It is generally inadvisable to eject directly over the area you just bombed." :goodjob:

stalin slowly sits in his comfortable rocking chair in his georgian summer house, quietly lights up a cuban cigar and gently smokes it, while he gloats at the fall of the western world due to this useless war.
it´s just a matter of time before the russian bear strikes and liberates europe from the decrepit capitalist system...

Nothing was Phony about the war on the Western Front during this 2nd Week of November. After massive artillery barrage coupled with "flying artillery" -- Sturzkampfflugzeug Junkers Ju 87s pounding -- Wehrmacht risked frontal attack on formidable Maginot Line. 125% defensive bonus, coupled with Immobile promotions for the troops manning that particular segment of the line meant that Germans will loose 3 precious divisions (one Mechanized). However the job was done. First Division of Waffen SS is proudly facing the enemy from the captured Bunker System:

Desperate French deployed few Char 2C super-heavy tanks. It was the largest (in physical dimensions) operational tank ever made. The Char 2C had a loaded weight of 69 tonnes, partly because of its armour - 45 mm at the front, 22 mm at the sides, but much of it just because of its huge size. Length 10.27 m (33 ft 8 in), Width 3 m (9 ft 10 in), Height 4.09 m (13 ft 5 in), Main armament 75 mm gun, Secondary
armament: Four 8 mm machine guns (three in gimbal ball mounts at front and both sides forward, one mounted in a rear turret). To man the tank required a crew of twelve: driver, commander, gunner, loader, four machine gunners, mechanic, electrician, assistant-electrician/mechanic and a radio operator.

As their main value was in propaganda, the giants were kept carefully out of harm's way and did not participate in the September 1939 attack on the Siegfried Line. They were used instead for numerous morale-boosting movies, in which they were often shown climbing and crushing old French forts. To the public, they obtained the reputation of invincible super tanks, the imagined dimensions of which far surpassed the actual particulars. However after the Maginot Line was breached French AI decided to deploy everything they had.

In the separate success stories all 3 Bomber missions undertaken by Luftwaffe against London were a stellar success! German pilots damaged the current production in London, destroyed Factory building (Tank Factory) and regular building (Custom House). Too bad there is no mission to kill the population -- Hermann Wilhelm Göring is not pleased

London lost power and Rolls-Royce Auto Plant :D But Germans lost 2 promoted Fighters, for the price of 1 British plane... All those Plane Factories need to be destroyed ASAP

Stalin will be unpleasantly surprised this turn too ;)

no, no -- harm is not always very obvious thing in World's politics. But at some point you will find out everything :mischief:

Can someone explain why I can no longer build any buildings in any of my cities? I could not see any for that

They are all greyed out.
