Ok, this will be an ongoing thread much like my war factory. I've been working on a WWII battleship and I think that I've progressed far enough to post a preview or two and get some feed back. It's not finished yet. I don't think that will happen for a while. This is the first ship that I have ever attempted. Let me know what I can do better.

I think that I made the propellor blades a little small so I may fix that later. For now, I will finish adding little miscellaneous stuff to the deck and then I will start on the guns and the superstructure.

Looks like the Wyoming Class, a WWI battleship class that did serve in WWII.

Will the blades really be seen in-game? :)

They won't be seen, but I wanted my first attempt to look good. It's not a US ship. I'll give you a hint. This class fought in the last duel between battleships of opposing nations.

Hmm, not the Wyoming. It appears to have six barbettes for the main battery of guns.

I'd then have to guess it's the IJN Fuso/Yamashiro.

What modelling software are you using ?

You got it. I haven't seen too many Japanese battleships, so I decided to build one or two. I'm using Blender for all of my modeling. I've added a few more little miscellaneous things to the deck. Soon I can start on the secondary armament, the main battery, and the superstructure.

Oww boy! I will wait for this one....

Now iam using the Marland as the IJN Fuso. :S

I don't think that it could be Nagato. If I was going to use it for a Nagato then there would have to be some major design changes. I think that I would just start over from scratch to build the Nagato. I have always liked this ship though. It's a shame that the US used it for an atom bomb target. The Nagato, along with the Prinze Eugen, would've made excellent war museums, but I guess they weren't thinking about that kind of thing back then. If only the battleship was still considered as important a ship as it once was.

Depending on how you do the "sinking" animation they might show.

Well, there is the option of the "Super-Sovietsy Soyuz" design, unknown project designation. (the "project 23Bis" designation in the description is incorrect, it corresponds with a variation of the Sovietsy Soyuz design)

Good work with that ship.

Never mind. I guess that I'll do something else then. I thought about doing a few helicopters that haven't been made, but that discussion belongs in another thread and now I'm thread jacking my own thread.

hadn't really planned on building any US ships due to the fact that most of them have been made or will be made soon. I can't really say what the future holds. Right now I'm just working on this current ship and maybe one more. After that I don't know.
