The Cow
I said "WWII based" rather than WWII for a 2 reasons,
1, There are many historical inaccuracies, so I have deniablitity
2, It is open to whatever millitary stuff you want, the USA could attack France, Or U.K attack spain ect.

Different Branches
Army- Your troops, you have 4 kinds of troops; Conscripts, Regulars, Elites, Special Forces (Can be used for special missions),
Air force- You Airplanes, you will only see the number of planes you can use these planes to get recon, bomb and intercept enemy planes
Navy- Your sea going vessels, Subs, Battleships, Transport Ships, destroyers, Cruisers, patrol boats
Tech and Research
You can Develop certain special techs, these may over time be added to your inventory but is greatly speed up if you put money into it
Recruitment
How many men per year you get. Your army will slowly increase. But you can speed it up by putting money into you army and by raising your peoples happiness.
Mobilization
If you decide to mobilize your country happiness will go down, but your industry will be increased by a large sum and let you conscript men (Which will drive your happiness even lower). Along with you cannot do any domestic orders.
Spying
You can do a number of things with your spies, Gain enemy troop positions, steal enemy knowledge, steal money, and sabotage enemy ships, airplanes or arms.
To defend against them having a strong defense and keeps your research buildings safe (Ordering Guards to defend them)
Special Forces
If you want you can create Special Forces, like WMDs, Reconnaissance, and Special Forces units.
Propaganda
You can use propaganda against another country, but dont expect them to flip to your side. I usually discourage it, and if you are in a democracy it might have an undesired effect on your own populace.
You can do many types of domestic orders. All services are handled by the town or state/providence/territory, but you can still do things like build colleges and such.

30 LUs into building a University in Berlin
40 LUs for a channel in panama
20 LUs to make oil wells in Egypt
Construction
You can build many things, some may improve your advancement rate, some may help improve defense, some may improve Infrastructure value ect. (Similar to Projects)
Advancement rate
this rate determines how fast you will resource, You can improve it by building colleges, It will slowly increase or decrease too. Also is key in your millitary (See Upgrades)
Infrastructure value
It is a scale from 1-10 how good your Infrastructure is, It will help move your troops and your industry and trade. By building roads, rail roads and ports you can improve it.
Trade
The more natural Resources you have and the better infrastructure you have, the more this will be. This will help improve your economy.
Economy
The system for money is LUs Your intake will slowly increase and decrease as you gain and loose land and how your domestic issues are going, trading or natural resources your country has. Any unused $ will be storied in your bank.
Industry
A few different variables go into this
1. Your Industrial tech
2. Natural resources
3. Infrastructure value 1-10
This will determine how fast you can build defenses and Infrastructure, and produce arms, airplanes and ship.
Agriculture (2 LUs will increase it by 1)
How much food you produce, this will need to feed your people and your army; you can put money into it to increase it. (Will need about 1 agriculture point per 50,000 troops)
You can make up your own units but these are some commen examples

Want to sink an enemy ships without attacking? On destroy airplanes or airbases? Then get special units!
Special Ops, Very powerful but cannot be used in attacks. Attacks does not tell nationality. Not shown in your unit list. (R/1,000)*(I/20)

1 LU Poorly trained spy
2 LU fairly trained spy
3 LU trained spy
4 LU Veteran spy

Upgrades
For every Improvement Level up you want your new troops to be, the coeffecent of M goes down by 5 (And ships cannot be upgraded). So if your industry is 40 then you would get 400 tanks per 5 eco and they would be Level 1, But if you want Level 2 Tanks then you would get 350 tanks at level 2.
Also if Advancement rate is above 6 your units start out level 2.
Upgrading existing units
5 LU will upgrade
50,000 Infantry
1,000 tanks
900 fighters
800 Bombers
Limit of 1/2 your advancement rate for upgrades (Rounds up) (So you cannot make Level 10 infantry)
Special Upgrade abilities-
All German tanks start out level 3
All UK Airplanes start out level 3
Resources
Key to trade and also help improve your military.
Iron- Increases Coefficient to M by 10%
Oil- Makes all units go farther, lack of it will cause slowness in your troops and make them less effective.
Some examples, this is similar to projects except that construction is in another category. It might take a while to make some of these and you have to estimate how much you put in. The more creative the tech idea quicker it might be done.
Tanks- Able to build tanks
Rising Sun- Kamikazes
Aircraft carrier designs- Able to build Aircraft carriers
Efficient Mass Production (25% boost to you industry)
Fission- Able to make nuclear bombs
Rocketry- able to make Rockets, Fighters more powerful (With Fission able to make nuclear Missiles)
Space Flight(Must have Rocketry) - see all enemy troop placement
There are others, These will just be some common examples, but you can make up techs which you can steer yourself toward.
