2006/2007 College Basketball Thread

Good things happen when your AD is on the selection committee, apparently. I have to admit, we really don't deserve a 4.

They only do that for the first 2 rounds. You'll notice that the opening round venues aren't tied to region anymore (i.e., some west region games are in Columbus).

You could have fooled me, just look at the two seeds: UCLA (West), Georgetown (East), Memphis (South), and Wisconsin (Midwest).

Florida plays Friday...play in team plays on a thursday.....

St Louis is just as close to Florida as San Antonio. Makes no real difference.

Also, the Midwest was already the number 1 overall's spot, and Florida was the number 1 overall seed, so they're in the Midwest.

I'm going to the Sunday Chicago games. Looks like Wisconsin vs. UNLV/Ga. Tech and Kansas vs. Villanova/Kentucky.

Arizona gets the thrill of Purdue and maybe Florida. Hopefully our SOS helps prepare us.

OSU and BYU are playing at the same place. I need tickets!! where can I find some?

Broker. But I definitely recommend going to games if anyone can get tickets. I went to the DC Regional Finals last year (Yeah, George Mason beating UCONN). It was incredible.

Haha, we (A&M CC) got the weakest of the 2 seeds. With Butch out, Wisconsin is not really THAT great. Granted, we will likely lose by 20 still...but never underestimate a good offensive, senior laden team with great depth and a presence inside.

Texas is in a tough bracket with UNC & Georgetown, I wanted Ohio State's bracket personally for the continuation of the RedFusion/Azale GRUDGEMATCH.

Oh, and Syracuse & Drexel > Xavier & Arkansas. Arkansas...WTH? They were THIRD in the SEC WEST!!! THE WEST!!! Xavier didn't have a gaudy record and didn't even win it's own mid-major conference and got in over a team with 10 wins in the ACC (including one over Georgetown). Stanford angered me a bit at first, but stepping back it's not that bad. Drexel got hosed, pure and simple.

Oh, and didn't KState just blow out Texas Tech or was I just imagining things?

And? Tennessee beat Florida twice last year too, didn't mean Tennessee was a better team. Drexel beat Syracuse, Villanova, and Creighton all on the road.

Ahhh, it feels good.

It's been a long time.

So I went outside today with a friend and I was like "Dam, It's windy today."
My friend then said "Yeah, Michigan sucked so hard last night we are still feeling it down here." (For those of you who don't know, Michigan got blasted by Florida State in the NIT last night). Just thought I would share.

Congrats, Michigan has sucked in basketball for a while now :p Happens when you get restrictions on your program, such bad restrictions that the only way to save face is to hire a mediocre, good guy coach like Tommy Amaker.

That program is just waiting to rocket off. They need an elite coach. Any available?

Wow, what a finish to regulation.

Oden almost blew it, though; that was darn close to being an intentional foul. I probably woulda called it.

after getting raped under the basket for 40 min, I'd be mad too.

That might have been the most amazing game I've ever seen.

Oh my beloved Xavier. You were so close...

Actually, I am more of a UC fan, but all of our victories are moral.
