2011 MLB Thread

When the Tiger's win tonight, they will be the only team in the AL Central with a record even at .500. :D

I'm sorry, bestrfcplayer.

A playoff game at Camden yards, who'da thunkit? Go Sox and... ugh.. Go Yankees!

I love the irony that every Red Sox fan on the planet is cheering for the Yankees tonight. Here's your hat and shirt. :D

Yet as a Yankee Fan I am rooting against the Yankees today just so Boston doesn't make it in.

Cardinals will clinch wild card as Braves won't overcome the Phillies.

Typical Yankee fan.

Yeah I haven't checked the scores yet today so thats probably why my post is off. That was more what I thought before the games started. Personally I would like to see two ties as that would make for some major drama.
And yes I am a typical Yankee Fan.

It looks like Cleveland doesn't want to be embarrassed by Detroit yet again. Nevertheless, we will prevail!

This is a really tense evening. The Cards will likely win, and that means the Braves need to pull out of this 3-3 tie with the Phils. If they do, a playoff.
In the AL, the Yanks are soon to beat Tampa Bay, and if Boston beats the Orioles (in a rain delay right now), the Red Sox are in. If not, a playoff.

edit: oh, wait. there's probably some tie breaker factor I'm not thinking of.

Sounds right to me.

Carp has been excellent tonight. No fuss, no drama. 11 Ks and only 3 baserunners. One last out needed now (and he needed three at the start of me typing this).

Oh, and the Nationals' season ends well, with Strasburg striking out 10 in a 3-1 victory over the Marlins. Last game in their old stadium, as the Marlins move to Miami next year. Jack McKeon also gets a heartfelt ovation from the crowd.

80-81 is quite respectable for the Nats. I look forward to next season, with Strasburg hopefully around all year. Get some good run support, and might have a shot (albeit an inaccurate one) at the wild card. In a few years or so, might have a shot at the division when all the Phillies are retired.

Phils Sweep the Braves. Suck it Atlanta! 102 wins!

DAMN YOU TEXAS!

At least Detroit won. Tis okay, the Yankees are going down!
