2015 NBA Playoffs

Hey Downtown... what about Kyrie? Would you prefer Wade? :scan:

Really glad Kyrie is under contract for I think five more years. Injury history is concerning, but they're not really related injuries. Given that Cleveland's guard depth is really bad (and they're probably going to lose either Shump or Smith in free agency), having a healthy Irving is critical. When he's on, he's one of the best offensive threats in the NBA. And he's still stupid young.

Surely didn't apply last night. He was the zen master of faking/whining.

He fell over while doing an illegal screen... cav's player got foul.

Well, that goes by a game-by-game basis. If it didn't, Draymond Green would have been ejected from every single game in this series. :p I told someone last night "wow Draymond Green got to the 4th quarter with only 2 fouls???". Fast-forward literally 1 game minute, he's got 4 fouls.

Regardless, don't look at me to defend the refs. I don't think they a good job this series, although it was a lot better to watch than, say, that +500 free throw joke of a series that was Clippers-Rockets.

I thought somebody could opt out but may be wrong... so it would only be a trade with somebody?

Smith played horrible... unbelievably so IMO. Love is the huge thing IMO. :scan:

Yeah, Love could opt out. He's expected to sign at least a one year deal, but it's possible he takes the 5 year max Cleveland will certainly offer.

J.R Smith, Shumpert, and Mozgov will all be free agents, and Thompson and Delly will be restricted free agents I believe. Marion is retiring, and Mike Miller and James Jones are probably walking and won't be retained. Brenden Haywood's contract is a huge trade chip and he's probably gone too. Could be a very different Cavs team.

They probably won't find a better big man than Mozgov available, but I think they can do better than Smith and/or Shumpert if they want to go.

It's tough, because Cleveland is going to be pretty capped out, and other than Haywood's contract, doesn't have much in the way of trade assets.

I suspect they'll keep Mozzy and Thompson, and let either Smith or Shump walk, to try and save a little tax money. The MLE, their draft picks and some min. salary guys will probably be used on a backup PG, shooting, and wing depth. I think.

keeping TT means they have three people who play, functionally, the same position: TT, love, lebaron.

Institute a new era to escape the "go small" initiative. Play three bigs and move Lebron to guard.

Not really. LeBron is the primary ballhandler and isn't limited to the paint, and Kevin Love plays on the perimeter more than TT as well. You can also play all three at the same time, although that may not be the ideal lineup.
