... who plays over the internet? Especialy since FfH and FF have OSS problems?
On a related note, if you're teaching world history, Europa Universalis 3 would be a better choice, at least during it's timeframe, and esp. for Europe (obv)
Oh, at first I thought you're flying to the Georgia country... A bit too far, isn't it?![]()
Amusingly, playing the original civ when I was a youngin gave me an interest in old wonders/civilizations, I always did well in social studies because of that.
A lot of the changes do not bring anything good if you ask me, and it would just take them years to perfect FfH to work with it.

I was taken by surprise by this. Just noticed patch 3.19 right now and Im downloading it. I was in Utah and Texas for most of this week and Im flying to Georgia tomorrow (going onsite to help a school use Civ4 to teach high school history).
It may not be updated until later this week since my flight leaves in 11 hours. But it will be high on my todo list when I get back Thursday.
If you ask me, there is no reason to go for 3.19 ever. A lot of the changes do not bring anything good
- AI no longer joins Great People to cities in danger
I am not sure how often this comes up, but it sounds especially nice for the Sidar.
- Moved some gamecore-specific code into the DLL
I could be completely wrong, and the patch notes are not clear what is moved to the DLL, but doesn't this mean that certain things that could not be edited are now editable? That could open up a lot of doors for FFH.
Isn't FFH the most popular mod for civ4?
I always find it weird when companies put in a bunch of mod support initially, but then seem to keep the key modders out of the loop when they push patches. Why would you not push your patch out a week early just to your top modders to get their feedback before you push it to the world?
Also as other have said, steam forces you to update.
Oh well, this last week I have learned that I really suck at base civ4. I can not even keep up on monarch!
How are you supposed to handle the dreaded stack of doom that includes a billion cats when you do not have assassins?
Base civ4 just feels so dull after FFH and FF.
