30 Day Song Challenge

Day 16, a song that you used to love but now hate

Limo Wreck - Soundgarden

Link to video.

This is a bit inexplicable I suppose, but I used to consider Limo Wreck to be one of the best tracks of the '90s grunge era. Listening to it again, not only is it not as heavy or dark as I remember, but it's also kinda boring. The chorus is especially tedious, since it's just a five-chord loop under "And the wreck of you / Is the death of you all"
I guess I can understand that song getting repetitive, but I can't see how you could hate any song on Superunknown. A Super"superb" album, in my opinion.

Day 19
- A song from my favorite album;

Four Sticks, on Led Zeppelin IV.

It really is a tossup between III and IV in terms of which record I prefer, but I am in a IV mood right now.

Day 18, a song that you wish you heard on the radio

Nothing Changes - Saxon Shore

I wish there was a post-rock station on the radio.

18: A Song That you wish you Heard on the Radio

Again, I don't listen to the radio that often, and when I do it seems to be tailored to my tastes. Previously I might have answered Oasis' 'The Masterplan', but then they released it as a single and I hear it a lot. Recently I might have gone for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's 'Home', but it seems to have become popular recently and again invalid.

The other day I heard 'Forever Autumn' from Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds on the radio at work and, while it's a completely silly and unrealistic choice, my first thought is that I would love to hear the very first song on that album played on the radio at least once.

Day 17 - Song you hear often. I presume this means one likes it, so - Hotel California, Eagles.

Day 18 - Song you wish you heard on the radio. In my case, this is a dreadfully long list, so I'll
throw a dart and pick ... Lily, Rosemary, and the Jack of Hearts by Bob Dylan. Unfortunately, Sony will not allow YouTube to have the orginal, so this is a cover that is decent.

Day 19 - Song from your favorite album. Time for more darts - Fall Down, Toad the Wet Sprocket.

Day 19, a song from your favorite album

Don't Bother None - The Seatbelts

Link to video.

I don't have any sort of all-time favorite album, this is one that I've been enjoying recently. It's the second Cowboy Bebop OST. Has some sick slide blues and classic jazz.

Day 20 - A song when you're angry. I listen to Metallica's Justice CD, but I'll pick Frayed Ends of Sanity for the Wizard of Oz vibe.

Well better late then never :D

Day: 01
My favorite Song

Spoiler :

I change my "favorite" song pretty often, but I really like this song because it's catchy, I like the video, and it's just overall a good song to party too. :D

Day 20, a song that you listen to when you’re angry

God's Gonna Cut You Down - Johnny Cash

Yeah, not a big anger person. When I'm angry it's more like contempt.

Day 21, A song when you're happy. Dvorak, Symphony #9, 4th movement.

Day 21, a song that you listen to when you’re happy

Minor Swing - Bireli Lagrene (orig. Django Reinhardt & Stéphane Grappelli)

Link to video.

Gypsy jazz is a genre almost entirely based on goofy euphoria.

Day 22, A song that you listen to when you're sad
Famous Blue Raincoat by Leonard Cohen
I like how basic it is, having nothing but guitar and singing for the most part; when I'm in a low mood anything richer might give me a headache. And while it's not an uplifting song, I find it soothing.

Day 22, a song that you listen to when you're sad

Psalm XLIII: Richte mich, Gott und führe meine Sache (Op. 78, no. 2) - Felix Mendelssohn

Link to video.

This is a great mood changer for me, since it starts off melancholic but then ends uplifting, so I'm able to listen to it when I'm down and it forces me to feel better.
