heres a W A G but maybey they strapped it to the outside as sort of a reactive armor?

I had though this would be a easy question.

A: the Stug crews found they could carry twice as many rounds (90 rounds) by layering rows of munition on the "floor" of the stug.

The japanese had begun issueing there soldiers Magnetic anti-tank hand grenades. In the dense jungle and close quaters nature of the pacific war. These magnetic grenades proveded to be a serious threat to Allied armour.

Q How did Allied tanks crews "modify" there tanks to counter the magnetic anti-tank grenades ?

did they cover thier tanks ( well bottoms) with wood?

Yes they did.

lol Wood armour who would have though.
The Australians also used wiremesh over there Matildas to the same effect

omfg that was a TOTAL guess. ok ill post one in a min here

How many rotating turrets did the T-28 medium tank have?

3! two small in the front and a larger in the center. If my memory from Squad Leader/CoI does not fail me?
Edit: I hope it is the russian since I have no idea what an american t28 is?

indeed it is russian.. i wasnt aware the americans HAD a t-28.Wotan got it right... The Soviet T-28 mounted a 76.2mm main armament in a central turret. The tank also had two auxiliary turrets on either side of the driver's position mounting machine-guns. The side turrets had a limited range of traverse and their hatches could not be opened unless the main turret was angled in the opposite direction. Later models had additional armor on the hull front and turret after hundreds were knocked out in the Russo-Finnish Winter war of 1939-40.
so indeed there were 3.
Good job

Nice picture of a captured T28 painted in Finnish colours. If anyone wonders about the Swastika painted on the tank, this has nothing to do with the Nazi symbol. Finland adopted the Swastika as early as 1918 when fighting for it's independence.

On to the question: What is a Motti? ( The T28 inspired me, lots of them encountered it... )

Yeah, clearly not a Nazi swastika - arms are all different lengths.

What's a Motti? I'd guess a Molotov Cocktail - bottle filled with petrol with a lighted rag for a fuse.

T38 ahhh the multi-turret idea of prewar era design
This is what happens when you copy British designs :D

"motti" was a tactic used by finnish army. In it the enemy division was surrounded and destroyed. Often it also was split to smaller parts in order to make it easier to kill the enemy soldiers.

Right you are, Zkal. And welcome to CFC forums. I noticed this was your first post! :) Your question, Zkal!

Couldn't find a picture of a T28 from a motti but this will have to do. Maybe someone can identiy it? A lot of T26s were in action during the Winter War but this tank looks to be larger than a T26.

Thanks. I registered just to answer the question :) Though I have lurked here for a year or so :)
And now to the question which is propably easy one: Italians attacked British ships in Alexandria harbour sometime during the war. What "transport" was used to transport explosives(which they installed right under the ship or attached to it) and the men to do this mission?

The "Pig" human torpedo.
(Can't remember the Italian word, but something to the effect of Pig).
