Notes: The alliance with Persia can now be cancelled. I haven't micromanaged cities due to the slim chance that Maya can be conquered this turn.
Electricity can be researched in one turn.
A few cities are producing at least 40spt, and several are producing at least 27spt.
I probably should have rushed more, but there is plenty of money to use.
Let's see how quickly grs can conquer Maya.

Here is the save.

Ok, started it. Judging from the start of it this won't be turns of raze this, raze that, but we will see.

I just wanted to say something now before I forget later: In any case when you get to railroads, please arrange workers beforehand. We have rails for 18 turns, so we should have arranged rail crews for about 20 turns. Please do that, it is extremely powerfull. In fact I would give half our cavs for a straight connection of all cities in a line to the front. This is something I learned from our legion only games.

Improving with rails is nice, but having a rail connection to the front is priceless. If you have arranged crews of 6 native workers or equivalent, you can road and capture in awesome speed. I would not work a single tile other than railroading in this phase.

Really no rant, I just hoped I'd get a fully connected railnetwork.

Could not finish it tonight - turns took too long. This is our minimap at 1120AD.

Looks like we are getting close. Attack Persia next? This may take a while for me to play.

Well, Persia was already next.

Pre: Isin taken. Kill some units in Chichen Itza and Mayapan. Research to 40% - electricity in 1. Rush an army.

IBT: Lux deal with Xerxes runs out. Start replacable parts. Xerxes takes Copan from Mayas.

1060AD: Mayapan, Chichen Itza taken.

1070AD: Palenque, Quiriqua taken. Found 2 towns. Hurry army.

1080AD: Move and rail.

1090AD: Tikal taken - Maya are out.

1100AD: Ask Xerxes to leave or declare - thanks. Sign up Korea for ivory and 16gpt. Spain is already at war with Persia. X-man has rifles. Dariush Kabir, Istakhr, Valencia, Copan, Yaxchilan (gems), Ergili, Nagasaki, Lapaza and Calakmul taken.

1110AD: Jinjan and Kaminaljuyuk taken.

1120AD: Sardis, Zohak and Ghulaman taken. Sci 40% - replacable parts in 1. 2 leaders gained - armies.

1130AD: Tyre and Pyongsong taken.

1140AD: Arbela and Samaria taken. One leader gained - army.

1150AD: Sidon taken. One leader gained - Pentagon rushed.

Don't think this won't last another 10 turns. I rushed some temples to gain more land - we are at 52% and already far over 66% in population. You can fill a fourth cavalry into the armies after the IBT. Nice game, we might try that again.

Preturn- Good
1
Persepolis and Hamadan captured.
IBT- Persia lands a couple cavs in my land. Oooh....... very scared.
2
Destroy those cavs that landed near us. Send lots of units to Hyangsan.
IBT- Korea and Spain sign peace. Persia lands a rifle in the same spot their cavs were in. Korea has a rifleman in our lands, think they'll declare.
3
Our Stack of "Doom" at Hyangsan gets destroyed when attacking a single rifleman in the city. Send in a bigger Stack of Doom. Take Bactra and Copernicus Observatory. Trade Wang Kon Medicine for Industrialization.
IBT- Persia and Korea sign peace. Persepolis flips! The Persians will pay for that. War Weariness is getting worse, raise lux to 30%.
4
Good News: Hyangsan, Antioch, Pasargadae (with Newton's University) and Persepolis captured. Bad News: I feel that the RNG doesn't want to be my friend. Lost 2 armies this turn to bad RNG. Fortunately, we built one. Pay those pests that the Persians keep landing in our lands a unique visit from an army.
IBT- Zzzzz....
5
Casualty: 1 Cavalry Army. Cause of Death: RNG. I am seriously beginning to think that RNG truely hates me. However, Gordium was captured.
IBT- We are slammed with war weariness, and lots of it. Time to call it quits on the war, maybe after Salamanca and Santiago (the last 2 Persian mainland cities, the rest used to be Japanese.) At 60% for domination land, it may be smart to build lots of settlers and expand fast. Sound like a plan? I'll wait to play more turns until some discussion.

Please do not make peace. There is no reason to, use the lux slider instead. We do not need any reseach, so you can raise lux for the inner cities as they need. The outer cities were all arranged with specialists, so you do not need to change much, if ww rises. Hurry some temples and that should be it.

On armies: I hope you filled a fourth cav in all armies as I said. You can't possibly use a full 16HP cav army to a vet. rifleman that often. Use only full health armies. Attack on first round ONCE! per army. then take one! city. Build rr under the army back from the taken city to our rr network and move the army back to any town with barracks that has no flip risk. Let the army heal on secound round and attack again with it on third.

I will post you some examples tonight. You don't need to worry as we won't lose this anyways, but you should learn this technique for future games.

 This is a new technique, to try to pretend I have variants that I don't have.

Sorry, I'll try to be more careful. Yes, I did add the 4th cav to each army. Sometimes I don't attack at perfectly fully health, but it seems close enough to me (like 13 or so.) But my RNG unluckiness isn't just with armies. Remember that stack of doom near Hyangsan (seemed like about 15 cavs)? Lost all of them to a single veteran rifleman. I can't say that RNG has never worked for me, but it seems like especially this game it is being mean. I don't think I've ever lost that many armies in one game, now that I think about it (I guess saying that makes people more suspicious.)

I'll continue the war on Persia then (and be careful with the armies.)
