It was actually pretty fun for my first Halloween in 2 years. Raked in some good candy, but couldn't stay out for too long because of the rain. It was kind of exciting because my school let us dress up for the first time in pretty much ever.

I completely forgot about school. We got to dress up as the antebellum American social reformers we were. I dressed as John Humphrey Noyes, the creator of a very successful communist utopia. A friend of mine, a guy, dressed as Susan B Anthony, it was so funny

Why didn't you dress up as Eugene Debs?

He wasn't antebellum era :( I actually asked my teacher something like that :p

That reminds me. My cousin, a dude, recently dressed up at the pep-rally as a cheerleader. He had his nails done and painted, wore a cheerleading skirt and shirt, and had his hair in pigtails. It was hilarious and disturbing at the same time. Of course, he did it on a bet.

Oh my god that sounds incredible  We scrimmage these girls each Thursday at soccer practice and the one girl and her dad, the coach, says I could put on some leggings (they said shave my legs, but nah) and a bra and such and I could play with them, because my hair is so long. :p It goes down to my collarbones.

Gosh now I can't stop imagining CK as some majestic long-haired Native American guy

S&T Chat: http://civ4storiesandstales.chatango.com/

The purpose of this thread is to give S&T posters a place to post and carry on conversations about anything really, but not specific to a story. It is designed to keep non story related posts out of story threads and is similar to the "While We Wait" series of threads in NESing.

The Off-Topic thread should be a friendly place to discuss topics that concern random things, but that would not fit into another thread. If you feel the need to spam/post off topic, etc. we have an entire subforum provided for just such posting. Use it. Spamming this thread, or for that matter other S&T threads, is very much frowned upon.

This thread is NOT a place to attack others, flame, spam, or discuss things that would be better suited for the OT forum. The following kinds of topics should not be discussed here:

Politics
Religion
Abortion
Israel/Palestinian relations
Obama
Fox News

You get the idea.

Okay sorry, I felt a sudden batch of mischief. Anyways, when are the AAR votes starting? I'm planning on being a VotAAR.

Halloween is not much popular in Brazil. There are some parties with that as a theme, but I've never heard of ppl going to others' houses asking for candies.

Some people here say that Halloween is a tactic to make Brazil lose its identity to the US, but that's just some radicalists' speech that blame almost everything. I agree it's not within our customs, but it's not a threat to our culture, this is a stupid thought IMO.

But people walking as undead in November 2nd is really nice, and although it isn't so strong in our culture, from some years now it has become more and more popular. I saw many people yesterday participating on the March of the Dead. I think we borrowed some of this from Mexico's El día de los Muertos!

Yeah. Yesterday was the Day of the Dead for Mexico.
