To be somewhat more honest, now instead of simply using WB to edit some terrain here and there, I just mod whatever mod I use to my liking, including (but not limited to) resource placement and distribution parameters during map generation.
At least this way I tell myself that it's fair, as it affects all players and not just me.
 
With a really long history of Civilization on my shoulders, I think I understand all of this. I started on CivIII, and back then there was no worldbuilder. I remember there were some apps available on the internet for download that could edit some of your game values. Many times they ended crashing your game, so it wasn't reliable. I suffered a lot back then :p

And I'm sure I only started playing on a harder setting when I was already on College, so by my calcs I probably spent around 8 years playing Civilization (at least 4 years playing CIV) without bothering to try any difficulty harder then the normal level (Noble for CIV, I don't remember which for CivIII).

Then came the Multiplayer Era, and this was the reason why I decided to learn a lot more about the game and try it on harder levels. Prince was simply ignored, and we went directly to Monarch. Then 2 years later I was already trying Emperor, and from Emperor to Deity it didn't take a year.

I do remember using worldbuilder sometimes, but nothing compared to the time spent waiting to see every move done by the AI in CivIII when I used the reveal world map cheat. Back then you had to wait and see every move done by the AI if you were able to see the entire map. That was really frustrating, but many times I needed that to win :p

That's incredible! If he were to ever come to the South (ha, as if), I would go to one of his rallies. I won't actually be able to vote, which sucks, because my girlfriend will be able to in the main election.

I'm not sure about Bernie... Most of his ideas are pretty solid, but he's really old and a little too far left of me (I'm center left). Hillary is worse, and while O'Malley is younger, he doesn't have much of a shot at winning and he has his own problems.

I just don't want Bernie Sanders to have a heart attack the weekend before the election, the Democrats carry around his dead body to get him voted in, and to have it turn into a Weekend at Bernie's.

Today's also my birthday!
 
One can hope for a true leftist to get into office, but I think we'll be stuck with Hillary as the next presidential candidate. America loves their center-right people, and Bernie is too much of a radical for them.
 
He has pulled the largest crowds of any candidate for 2016, and recently in New Hampshire he was around 6 points of Hillary.

Don't underestimate him is all I have to say.
 
Happy birthday random!

Today I spent most of the day trying to clear out a clogged pipe, only to discover at the end that the pipe is way longer than I thought and, though I did clear the first part, the rest is still clogged. I need a longer pipe cleaner. Or a bucket of NaOH, haven't decided yet.
Yay for wasting an entire day of my only week of vacation.
