Once we choose, will everyone play 10 on that start?

Re: victory condition, conquest is tough, 20K culture is relatively easy, space and diplo are harder than culture but easier than conquest. And 100K culture is a complete headache (doable at this level, definitely, but hell to coordinate)
 
There appears to be a unanimous decision for Start 5.
 
I think we should hit Culture, Space, or maybe Diplo victory.

We appear to be on a lake. Is there any suggestions for starting (once we get the saves), or should we each just do our own thing?

Tassle- The first boat in PTW is Galley.
For a VC, I want to do Conquest, 20K, or space. The harder the VC, the more I will learn. I'm even up for a 100k if Jokeslayer can guide us there.
We should all play 10 turns, and have Jokeslayer evaluate & critique each one. Then we'll pick the best start. Make sure once you are done with your turnset, that you post them with a Spoiler.

I'll play as soon as my brother gives me my Civ3 Computer. Actually, I'll update my story as soon as he does that, THEN start playing.
 
Tad, we each play 10 turns, and have our trainer evaluate each one.

Anyway, I think I'd like a space or 20k VC.

I've had an interesting experience with space on conquests although I think it was a change to the space race that caused that. Not sure the same thing would happen in PTW. Space is definitely harder and more fun than 20K (there's a lot of waiting at the end of a 20K, when you know you'll get the culture eventually if you just keep pressing enter)
 
Ok, I've played my turns. I named the warriors and the capitol. If anybody dislikes that, I can easily change them back and stop naming.

4000BC- Found Happyland. Build Warrior. Worker W to wheat. Reseraching Alphabet 30%.
3950- Worker begins mining wheat.
3900- Zzz...
3850- Warrior-> Warrior. Happy Bob goes exploring east, spots wines.
3800- Mine complete, worker begins roading.
3750- Warrior-> Warrior. Steve the Odd goes NW, up the choke point.
3700- Worker goes to mine BG. Steve sees a hut.
3650- Warrior-> Spearman. Hut pops 25 gold. Bob sees a hut. Joe the Axeman heads SW. Bob heads to hut.
3550- Bob pops open maps, revealing a red border. Rome? Babylon, maybe? Lux slider to 20% to stop a revolt.

EDIT: I messed up. Played 10, thought I had played 9, played another one, and then posted.

Well, I played my 10 anyway. Can someone tell me how to upload save games without using the Upload Server? I have run out of space on it.

Alright, make an advanced reply. Click on the "paper clip" button next to the smiley button. Browse from your computer for a file like you do on the upload server.

Should work.
