A Babylon 5 Mod for the Final Frontier Mod

Hello everyone!,

Continuing with the PDSs, here is the ODSAT Mk II, now this one is supposed to be a replacement for the Mk I, and as such, it uses bigger weapons, their main gun being an energy weapon, but also, features point defense kinetic weapons:

In case you didn't notice, the Mk I doesn't have a sensor array, meaning it must rely on outside targetting information, it also has a directional antenna for planet communications.
The Mk II can perform targetting on its own, but also can receive target info from other sources, and has omni-directional antennas, so it isn't bound to keeping one of its sides to face the planet/controller. It also has better maneouverability than the Mk I.
(At least this were my thoughts while designing it :mischief:)

Still no luck with the ODSat problem and the Colonization ship has now made a multiple reappearance once Suspended Animation is researched. Oh, and the ODSat MkII looks pretty damn fine, better even then the MkI

No new ships this weekend (I was quite busy), but I'm currently in the process of making the Dilgar Thorun Fighter. While I was looking for pictures of the Thorun I found two other proposals for Dilgar fighters, but we do only have room for one.

So which one do you like? (if any), It would take the Thorun Mk II place in the table.

Tho the Tarluska certainly looks like the evolution of the Thorun, I like more the Darthus, because this one looks more like a long range interceptor/bomber (pretty much an equivalent to the Narn Gorith)... (but coming to think about it, it looks bulkier so perhaps it would be better their early fighter)

So, do you like any of these? do you reject them?

EDIT: In the last version I tested, in CivilizationInfos.xml the defined color for the Centauri Republic is PLAYERCOLOR_PURPLE, as a result, their flag shows in Purple/Black. I think it would be better if such color is changed to PLAYERCOLOR_DARK_PURPLE or PLAYERCOLOR_MIDDLE_PURPLE, I haven't tested them but from what I can see in PlayerColorInfos.xml any of these would be better.

Why not use both and have them as Thorun, Tarluska and Dartha, that way we have all 3 generations of fighter without having to resort to the Mk system.

Why not use both and have them as Thorun, Tarluska and Dartha, that way we have all 3 generations of fighter without having to resort to the Mk system.

We already have two fighters, the Thorun and an unamed fighter, we only require one of the new proposals.

What i meant was as follows.

Here is the first Dilgar ship for the mod, the Thorun fighter, it proved to be a deadly weapon during the Dilgar war, no LoNAW fighter could match it, the Starfury Tiger was close, but the only fighter that was clearly better was the Starfury Nova, and this last one was in limited deployment.

It has 1296 Polys and uses the FF Fighter animation.

I see, you mean using the "Class names" right?, in that case I agree :), yet, which of the other two proposals do you like for the tier-2 dilgar fighter? (if any).

The Dilgar Kahtrik Class Destroyer, it doesn't look as mean as the Thorun :p but this is an early ship, mean Dilgar capital ships are on the way.;)

As for the transport, even cut down it looks like it will have a very high poly count.

I like the new CidikarD and as for the new transport for the Brakiri, it looks pretty damn fine, hope it will look the same after designers license (and poly count) has been used.
 
Hell yes use the new transport Premier Valle. That is one fine looking transport. Very bad ass, I could see that used to haul my troops around easily.

Didn't someone already make a Cidikar though?
Yes we already have one, but the new one isn't meant to replace it, we are talking here about two different ship classes.

But since the Brakiri are all about corporations, I guess its ok to name the ships like that.

Talking about that, the last working version of the mod (unreleased) is laking one or two brakiri ship models we already have (from the models I didn't make).

As for the transport, even cut down it looks like it will have a very high poly count.

as for the new transport for the Brakiri, it looks pretty damn fine, hope it will look the same [...]
