However we will help build them into a state which will not fall as soon as the wind changes direction. Bulgaria would leave them to wither before the smallest breeze by not just turning them loose but banning assistance in rebuilding the damage they caused.

Bulgaria is treating Macedonia like a spiteful child treats a toy they broke. They got their fun and now when called to account they will throw it away.

All of your plans are for naught because the Republic of Italy does not need to go through anyone to get at Bulgaria, thus any damage to Macedonia will be caused by you. You continue to think Bulgaria should have any say in the future of Macedonia, it should not. You had you r chance and you threw it to the wind.

Your fellow states seem to also be laboring under the impression that we are going to invade them. We do not want or need to. All we want is for Bulgaria to remove itself from Macedonia. Once this is done we are willing to allow any observers or aid to come in once we have stabilized the region. They will then have the chance to make their own choices. Apparently you fail to grasp this point.

We are quite happy for a third neutral party, like Turkey for example, to undertake to set up a republic there, but Italian interference in Macedonia, political or military, is not acceptable, and neither is the prospect that Macedonia should be able to become part of Italy. Your position is absurd. We know you have ulterior motives, but all you would achieve by your ostensible ones is precisely what we are proposing. So, if your motives are true and clean, get your hands off and let us withdraw without you interfering.

You're pretty much, in plain sight, working up a coalition aimed specifically at them; aggressive alliance making could very well prompt them to either undertake war with you or launch vicious subterfuge...
